\tTWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Head of Internal Audit within the Internal Audit department at Pretoria, Gauteng.<\/p>\n
Job Summary<\/p>\n
\tThis role involves managing and executing the internal audit function across all TWK Agri industries and entities. It includes providing assurance on internal controls, governance, and risk management, and aligning audit practices with strategic objectives. The Head of Internal Audit leads audit engagements, evaluates processes, recommends improvements, and reports key findings to Executives, the Audit Risk Committee, and the Board on a quarterly basis.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities and Duties<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and implement the annual risk based internal audit plan as well as the Information Technology Internal Audit Plan
\n\tDevelop and implement audit procedures based on financial, operational and risk-based information
\n\tWork with the Head of Group Risk to determine risk areas for audit focus
\n\tCollaborate with department heads to align audit objectives with business goals
\n\tAlign and maintain the BarnOwl Risk and Auditing database
\n\tLead audits across various departments and functions to ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and industry regulations
\n\tEnsure audits are completed efficiently, within scope, and in accordance with approved schedules
\n\tPrepare comprehensive audit reports, highlight key findings, and make recommendations for improvements
\n\tContinuous communication with Executive management
\n\tPresent audit findings to Executive management (monthly) and the Audit Committee (quarterly)
\n\tIdentify risks and opportunities for process improvements within TWK Agri’s operations
\n\tProvide expert advice on governance practices
\n\tEnsure that TWK Agri’s operations are compliant with relevant legislation and risk frameworks
\n\tAlign the internal audit universe with identified operational risks
\n\tLead and mentor the internal audit team, ensuring professional development and growth
\n\tFoster a culture of continuous improvement, integrity, and accountability within the team
\n\tAct as an advisor to senior management on internal controls and processes
\n\tCoordinate with external auditors and facilitate external audits as required
\n\tIdentify inefficiencies in business processes and propose actionable solutions to improve financial performance, control, and governance
\n\tStay updated with the latest changes in accounting, auditing, and governance standards
\n\tEnsure all internal audits adhere to the IIA’s Global Internal Audit Standards
\n\tEnsure that internal audit complies with the TWK Agri Code of Conduct<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Skills<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s degree in Internal Auditing, Finance, or related field
\n\tProfessional certification such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or CA (SA)
\n\tCRMA (Certification Risk Management Assurance) (advantageous)
\n\t5 \u2013 7 years\u2019 experience in internal audit, external audit, or risk management
\n\t2 \u2013 3 years\u2019 experience in a managerial role
\n\tStrong understanding of internal controls, audit standards, and risk management practices
\n\tExperience in the agricultural or related industries (advantageous)
\n\tStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
\n\tExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
\n\tAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
\n\tProficiency in auditing software and data analytics tools
\n\tStrong leadership and team management skills
\n\tValid Driver\u2019s License (Code 08)
\n\tValid Passport
\n\tWilling to travel<\/p>\n
