Job Function:<\/p>\n
\tThe successful candidate will assist the Branch Manager in the day-to-day operations and overall management of the Distribution Centre. This includes supporting the stock, logistics, fleet, and staff functions, ensuring efficiency and alignment with business objectives. The Assistant Branch Manager will act as second-in-command and step in during the Manager\u2019s absence.<\/p>\n
Job Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 \/ NQF 4
\n\tMinimum 3\u20135 years\u2019 experience in a logistics, warehouse, or agri-business environment
\n\tSolid understanding of stock control and warehouse processes
\n\tAbility to support management of a large staff complement (30\u201340 employees)
\n\tExposure to logistics planning and fleet coordination is advantageous
\n\tComfortable working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
\n\tWilling to work extended hours as required
\n\tIntermediate to advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tAssist with the overall management of the Distribution Centre\u2019s daily operations
\n\tSupport the planning and coordination of logistics and delivery routes
\n\tHelp manage and control stock movement, including counts, loss prevention, and expiry management
\n\tProvide hands-on support in managing frozen goods, chemicals, and FMCG stock
\n\tSupport the HR function: help manage leave, disciplinary processes, and team morale
\n\tFoster strong customer relationships by assisting in resolving queries and complaints
\n\tActively contribute to achieving strategic and operational goals of the branch
\n\tMonitor compliance with company policies and legislation
\n\tPrepare and submit reports as required by the Branch Manager or Head Office
\n\tStep into a leadership role during the absence of the Branch Manager<\/p>\n
