\tRCL FOODS is searching for a Junior Business Analyst to join the Speciality Baking Division based in Centurion, Gauteng and will report into the Business Improvement Manager.
\n\tThe purpose of the role is to support the business in driving operational strategy and objectives, implementing short\/medium term strategic projects, analyse operations, workflows, and production processes to reduce inefficiencies and ensure final products meet required quality standards. The successful incumbent will overlook and design systems that maximize productivity, reduce waste and encourage cost effectiveness through cost savings initiatives.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tB-Tech or Degree in Industrial Engineering.
\n\t2 years Industry experience within Food or FMCG environments.
\n\tExperience working with Lean, Continuous improvement methodologies will be an added advantage.
\n\tCritical and curious thinking.
\n\tStrong problem-solving skills.
\n\tStrong communication & presentation skills.
\n\tAttention to detail.
\n\tIn-depth insight into manufacturing and operations.
\n\tProficiency in MS Office (i.e. strong Excel skills).
\n\tStrong coaching skills (operations).<\/p>\n
Duties & Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tReviewing production processes and related information for process improvement.
\n\tDoing in depth capacity planning for performance analysis.
\n\tProviding data to sustain production targets and processes.
\n\tDesigning control systems to minimize costs and production issues.
\n\tDeveloping and implementing process improvements and technological upgrades.
\n\tManaging new product development plans to sustain integration into plant setup.
\n\tTraining and coaching staff for new processes and a Lean culture.
\n\tDevelop tools to measure efficiencies and identify trends and process variations as part of establishing a continuous improvement system to ensure closure.
\n\tAdvises on and initiates corrective actions to address key business metrics that are at risk of being off target.
\n\tSolve highly complex technical\/ business issues, work with broad objectives, apply advanced technical knowledge.
\n\tDeliver coaching to the teams on new developments\/processes\/ways of working.
\n\tIdentify new investment opportunities for future growth and initiate\/motivate for CAPEX.
\n\tLead New Product Developments projects and advise on equipment requirements, capacity and process flows.
\n\tHelps to define new operational strategies, working with the operational executive on special projects.
\n\tEnsure projects implemented and successfully sustained through frequent process audits.
\n\tTo ensure the projects identified has a positive financial business impact.
\n\tTo complete post implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery has been achieved and to ensure that improvements can be made for future projects.
\n\tTo be a Catalyst on Culture change towards high performance excellence.
\n\tBuilds and develops relationships with Internal and External customers to ensure customer expectations are addressed.<\/p>\n
