Description<\/p>\n
\tConduct training needs assessments in collaboration with researchers, communities, and project partners.
\n\tDevelop and coordinate training programmes for communal farmers and herders on rangeland monitoring and sustainable livestock management.
\n\tPlan capacity-building workshops and field training for researchers, national and provincial Department of Agriculture staff, and postgraduate students.
\n\tLaise and work with trainers and researchers towards course accreditation.
\n\tCoordinate the development of the training curriculum.
\n\tOrganise all training logistics, including venues, travel, field equipment, catering, and compliance with occupational health and safety protocols.
\n\tMaintain a training database to track attendance, assessments, and post-training outcomes.
\n\tWork closely with researchers, communications staff, and project managers to support knowledge-sharing and training integration into project deliverables.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma in Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
\n\tA Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, or a related field will be an added advantage.
\n\tMinimum of 3 years\u2019 experience in training coordination, adult education, or capacity-building, preferably in research, agricultural, or rural development context.
\n\tExperience in rangeland or livestock systems and working with rural communities.
\n\tKnowledge of training accreditation systems (e.g. AgriSETA or SAQA) and monitoring and evaluation of training outcomes.
\n\tStrong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across academic, community, and government stakeholder groups.
\n\tExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license and willingness to travel to rural areas and field sites regularly.<\/p>\n
