ROLE PURPOSE<\/p>\n
\tTo support \/ steer Bodyshop Controls, Robotic and IT planning tasks.<\/p>\n
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE FUNCTION<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for electrical and controls project steering and support within the Bodyshop and associated areas and facilities.
\n\tSystem specialist for production supporting IT-Systems
\n\t(Concept Design, implementation, operation and breakdown management) in partnership with IT-Community, Plant Steering and internal and external partners.
\n\tCoordination and steering of maintenance activities within the technology for all manufacturing automation equipment including Control Systems, IT, Robotics and Network Systems.
\n\tCoordinates the introduction of new production-based IT-Systems and networks, develop and provide solutions and for existing IT systems in office and production.
\n\tEnsure and enforce IT security for manufacturing systems within BIW.
\n\tSecond level (Level 2) support for major breakdowns and production support to prevent loss of units.
\n\tSteer departments to implement electrical \/ safety standards from central TP 1\/2\/3 functions.
\n\tCoaching \/ Training to Controls and Maintenance personnel in BIW.
\n\tSupport TX-R-33X to implement production improvement solutions.
\n\tSpecialists\u2019 knowledge team for development the latest technological processes and share knowledge within the BMW Network.
\n\tEnsure that all tasks are performed in accordance with the BMW specification and ISO standards.<\/p>\n
IMPACT ON INNOVATIONS AND CHANGES<\/p>\n
\tAutomation and Production IT systems ownership, responsibility ensuring provision of suitable solutions.
\n\tPlanning, modification and break down management to existing control systems hardware and software.
\n\tPlanning introduction of new systems to support production.
\n\tPlanning and Realisation for engineering projects.
\n\tPlant optimisation process support, cycle time improvement and plant availability improvements.
\n\tGood relationship to internal and external partners to gather information about innovations, improvements and lessons learned, as well as provide the same to the BMW internal partners.<\/p>\n
PURPOSE AND SUBJECT OF THE INTERACTION\/COMMUNICATION WITH INTERNAL\/EXTERNAL INTERFACES, NEGOTIATING MANDATE.<\/p>\n
\tLiaise with TP-310 to support control planning activities.
\n\tLiaise with FG-X to support IT changes.
\n\tSupport TX-R-33X production improvement teams.
\n\tCommunicate with Control Engineers \/ Maintenance engineers on support issues.
\n\tCommunicate and manage external contractors \/ suppliers.<\/p>\n
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND \/ PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE \/ OTHER SKILLS<\/p>\n
Education<\/p>\n
\tEngineering Diploma Mechanical or Electrical, a Degree will be an advantage.
\n\tMechanical or Electrical Trade Test will be an advantage.<\/p>\n
Work experience, Leadership experience<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 5 years related experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, in an automated production Body Shop environment.
\n\tSelf-motivated person capable of working on an individual basis or as part of a team.
\n\tHour by hour prioritisation of own \/ team project activities and assisting with breakdowns, PM development and keeping the Control Engineering and Planning Manager fully informed.
\n\tShould have a good level of PLC programming and high level systems (IPS-T,Q,L).<\/p>\n
ADDITIONAL SKILLS: SPECIAL SKILLS \/ TECHNICAL ABILITY ETC.<\/p>\n
Specialist Knowledge of:<\/p>\n
\tElectrical \/ Electronic systems (advanced experience in electrical engineering with the ability to design \/ diagnose and install complex systems).
\n\tControl systems, PLCs field Bus, Robot, Safety and drive \/ vision \/ measurement systems.<\/p>\n
Understanding of:<\/p>\n
\tSoftware engineering (i.e., Visual Basic \/ C \/ C# \/ C++ \/ SQL \/ Java)
\n\tIP-Networking
\n\tTCP \/ IP
\n\tWindows \/ Linux Operating Systems
\n\tScripting<\/p>\n
