REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tGr 12; National Diploma \/NQF Level 6 equivalent in a related field.\u00a0
\n\tIn possession of at least a code B driver\u2019s license 2 \u2013 3 years\u2019 experience in Disaster Management.\u00a0
\n\tExperience in a local authority legislation will be advantageous No criminal records
\n\tThe ability to develop and work with other persons, ability to work well under pressure, good report writing skills
\n\tExcellent written and oral communication and facilitation skills<\/p>\n
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tManage traffic law enforcement services to ensure the upholding of law and order by planning, organising, directing and controlling of the following functional activities,\u00a0
\n\tManaging subordinates to ensure proper execution of duties and responsibilities of the Unit Co-ordinate\/prosecute and\/or disciplinary hearings to ensure a sustainable and fair traffic service See to it that officers are equipped with protective
\n\tclothing\/uniforms, books, vehicles and accessories to get their work done See to the safety of Employees and their working environment to comply with the Occupational health and Safety Act, by doing inspections and coordinate changes\/repairs on buildings, equipment, safety procedures;
\n\tEnsure that road signs and road markings are properly maintained and erected to promote traffic flow and road user safety;
\n\tResponsible for coordinating with the District Municipality the disaster management activities to ensure that the management of disasters are well organised with minimum disruption of services and the well-being of the community\u00a0

\n\tResponsible for coordinating emergency services to ensure an efficient firefighting and rescue service Renders Court related duties to provide information in court cases and ensure offenders are brought to justice,\u00a0
\n\tCompile informative reports regularly to keep management and council informed about the performance of the Unit by collating information provided by subordinates.<\/p>\n
SALARY: R33 420.00 p\/m [T12\/1]<\/p>\n
