\tiqbusiness is seeking an experienced Project Manager for contracting opportunity within Financial services.
\n\tThis role is focused on leading strategic initiatives, with a specific emphasis on credit risk-related projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep domain knowledge, strong delivery capability, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory and operational landscapes.
\n\tYou will be responsible for managing end-to-end delivery of projects that impact credit risk frameworks, systems, and processes\u2014ensuring alignment with business objectives, compliance requirements, and stakeholder expectations.<\/p>\n
Experience and Skills<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 5 years\u2019 solid Project Management experience, with at least 3 years in banking or financial services
\n\tProven experience in credit risk-related projects, such as:
\n\tCredit risk policy and framework implementation
\n\tCredit scoring and decisioning systems
\n\tBasel, IFRS 9, or regulatory compliance initiatives
\n\tCredit lifecycle process optimisation
\n\tStrong understanding of banking operations, risk management, and regulatory environments
\n\tAdvanced stakeholder engagement and vendor management skills
\n\tBudget management and multi-team coordination experience
\n\tExposure to Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies
\n\tFamiliarity with business and process analysis in financial contexts
\n\tHybrid working model\u00a0
\n\tMust be open to contracting<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities
\nProject Initiation:<\/p>\n
\tEngage with risk, credit, and business stakeholders to define project scope and objectives
\n\tDevelop project plans, resource models, and delivery timelines
\n\tIdentify dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies
\n\tAlign project outcomes with regulatory and strategic goals<\/p>\n
Project Management & Execution:<\/p>\n
\tLead cross-functional teams including risk, IT, compliance, and business units
\n\tManage delivery of credit risk systems, frameworks, and process enhancements
\n\tCoordinate testing, data migration, and integration activities
\n\tMonitor project performance, budgets, and timelines
\n\tProvide regular updates to stakeholders and executive sponsors<\/p>\n
Project Close-out:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure successful handover to operations\/support teams
\n\tFinalize documentation and training materials
\n\tConduct post-implementation reviews and lessons learned
\n\tClose procurement and contract arrangements<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tMatric
\n\tFormal qualification in Project \/ Program Management
\n\tDegree or Diploma in Business Management, Finance, Risk, or related field
\n\tCertified PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or SAFe credentials advantageous
\n\tKnowledge of credit risk frameworks and banking regulations preferred<\/p>\n
