JOB PURPOSE<\/p>\n

You will be the key enabler of stock visibility, damage control, and system accuracy \u2014 forming the backbone of logistics operations within the Home Care Boksburg site, then this role is just for you!<\/p>\n
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE<\/p>\n
Inventory Control & Cycle Counting<\/p>\n
\tPrepare and execute daily cycle counts and monthly stock counts across raw, pack, and material components.\u00a0
\n\tForecast inventory needs using historical usage trends and production plans.\u00a0
\n\tInvestigate and resolve material variances in coordination with Sloc Owners.\u00a0
\n\tSet up and manage inventory control systems to prevent overstocking, stockouts, and obsolescence (e.g., slow-moving stock and expiry risks).\u00a0<\/p>\n
Damage & Quality Reporting<\/p>\n
\tReport and analyze damages promptly.\u00a0
\n\tSupport the Quality team with reject processes and material upliftment workflows.\u00a0
\n\tMaintain documentation and audit trails for quality-related returns and rejects.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Operational Support & Auditing<\/p>\n
\tManage and audit the picking and return process to ensure accuracy and compliance.\u00a0
\n\tFully support the team with materials handling, ensuring timely system transactions (e.g., GRN, 101, 933, 934, etc.).\u00a0
\n\tMonitor the decanting and rework output daily.\u00a0<\/p>\n
System & Process Improvement<\/p>\n
\tDrive continuous improvement projects using Lean, TOC, and 5S methodologies.\u00a0
\n\tAnalyze data, evaluate processes, and implement CIP projects focused on flow, waste reduction, and layout optimization.\u00a0
\n\tDocument and report performance metrics (KPIs) and contribute to savings and waste reduction initiatives.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Administrative & Stakeholder Engagement<\/p>\n
\tAssist with queries and follow-ups on Proof of Delivery (POD) and invoice reconciliations.\u00a0
\n\tRaise service requests for suppliers and resolve DCIW\/payment issues.\u00a0
\n\tMaintain accurate inventory records and provide regular reports to stakeholders (e.g., MUV\/MUC, damage reports).\u00a0<\/p>\n
People & Performance<\/p>\n
\tLiaise with internal teams (e.g., production, quality, procurement) and external partners (e.g., DHL, suppliers).\u00a0
\n\tSupervise material pullers and ensure alignment with production requirements.\u00a0
\n\tTrain and coach staff on inventory systems and problem-solving principles.\u00a0<\/p>\n
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED<\/p>\n
Experiences & Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tMatric (Grade 12) and\/or relevant diploma or degree preferred (e.g., Logistics, Supply Chain, IT, Industrial Engineering).\u00a0
\n\t2\u20133 years of inventory management or logistics experience in FMCG or manufacturing.\u00a0
\n\tSAP proficiency and strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word).\u00a0
\n\tStrong analytical, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.\u00a0
\n\tExcellent communication and collaboration skills across functions.\u00a0
\n\tExperience in stock investigations, inventory reconciliation, and materials handling<\/p>\n
