Position Purpose<\/p>\n
\tTransnet Corporate Centre and Academy is seeking dynamic, recently qualified graduates in Internal Auditing or Accounting who are passionate about building a career in Internal Audit. Successful candidates will join a structured 24-month programme accredited by the Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa (IIASA).<\/p>\n
Position Outputs
\n\u00a0As a Young Professional-in-Training, you will:<\/p>\n
\tShadow experienced staff across various functions, participate in learning experiences, attend meetings and workshops, and gain exposure to multiple areas of the business to build practical skills.
\n\tSupport audit teams in delivering assignments outlined in the scoping letter by performing audit tests, documenting systems, testing controls, and preparing working papers to support findings.
\n\tEngage with customers to understand their needs, determine urgency, and provide regular progress updates.
\n\tRepresent Internal Audit in working groups, contributing to the development of strong systems of control within the organization.
\n\tAssist in investigations by helping plan and conduct preliminary reviews, and preparing reports for your line manager\u2019s review.
\n\tTrack and monitor the compilation, approval, and timely submission of all Transnet Internal Audit (TIA) reports to the relevant governance forums.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma or BCom Degree in Internal Auditing or Accounting.
\n\t0\u20131 year of relevant work experience.
\n\tMS Office packages
\n\tMust be a South African citizen.
\n\tAge between 18 and 35 years.<\/p>\n
Competencies<\/p>\n
\tStrong written and verbal communication skills.
\n\tProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
\n\tSound understanding of accounting and business process fundamentals.
\n\tAbility to work effectively in a team, solve problems, and maintain strong attention to detail.<\/p>\n
