Applications are therefore requested from interested individuals who meet the following requirements to enroll as Dr. NDZ Disaster Management Volunteers:<\/p>\n
\tHave matriculation
\n\tTertiary Education will be an added advantage
\n\tSouth African Citizen
\n\tStrictly a resident of Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma Municipality
\n\tBe an able person who is physically, mentally, and medically fit
\n\tNo Criminal Record
\n\tPrepared to be on the field for long hours
\n\tBe 18 years old and\/ or above
\n\tWill be expected to fill out the health questionnaire by a medical doctor at the incumbent’s expense.
\n\tExpected to run 2.4 Kilometers
\n\tPhysical Assessment is the key requirementCandidates will be required to undergo several assessment tests to determine their suitability for enrollment.
\n\tGood interpersonal and communication skills<\/p>\n
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:<\/p>\n
\tUndertake all Disaster Management and Fire Services activities as instructed by Management and Supervisors
\n\tConduct disaster incident assessment and distribute disaster relief under the supervision of officers
\n\tParticipate in all trainings that will be provided in line with disaster management
\n\tParticipate in emergency drills as and when required
\n\tParticipate in Integrated Community Safety Awareness Campaigns and\/ or any other activities as instructed accordingly
\n\tParticipate in Disaster Management Risk Assessment when required
\n\tParticipate in Disaster Management projects and programs as and when required
\n\tBe an ambassador for Disaster Management at the ward level
\n\tAssist communities working with ward committees, Councilors at ward levels, to report disaster incidents to the Fire and Disaster Management Emergency Center
\n\tEnsure response to all disaster-affected areas within the area of jurisdiction of the municipality
\n\tTrain communities on disaster management and fire services issues, especially prevention measures and state of preparedness as measures to mitigate the effects of disaster incidents and\/ or disasters.
\n\tAttend Disaster Management Meetings as and when required to do so
\n\tComply with all instructions as given by Management and Supervisors, including officers.
\n\tAny other work as directed by management.<\/p>\n
