Minimum Qualification\/ Experience<\/p>\n
\tMatric (Grade 12)
\n\tA technical\/ engineering qualification with Rock Breaking certification would be advantageous.
\n\t5 years\u2019 + operational experience, including a proven track record in managing multifunctional teams
\n\tGood understanding of quarry planning, development and geology
\n\tThorough understanding plant efficiency requirements and upkeep of maintenance practices.
\n\tMust have a good understanding and knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act and associated Regulations.
\n\tExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.
\n\tPlanning and decision-making skills.
\n\tThe ability to work as part of a team.
\n\tGood leadership and financial skills.
\n\tComputer literate.
\n\tMust have the ability to work under pressure and be deadline driven.
\n\tMust be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the company standards for medical fitness<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):<\/p>\n
\tEnsuring compliance with all the requirements of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
\n\tExecute all responsibilities in terms of the legal appointment.
\n\tAchieve financial targets and manage costs in line with budget
\n\tImplementing business unit strategy.
\n\tManage the day-to-day operation of the quarry \u2013 set standards for quality, output and processes.
\n\tManaging employees ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to and all employees are trained to ensure competence in their roles.
\n\tEnsure all equipment is in good working order and maintained in the specifications as required.
\n\tEnsuring customer satisfaction and liaise with key customers.
\n\tResults orientated \u2013 driving a high performing culture and working in a high-pressure environment
