PURPOSE OF THE JOB<\/p>\n
\tTo monitor the implementation of the National Aviation Security Program (NASP) and other related Civil Aviation Regulations (CARs) in compliance with the ICAO SARPs
\n\tTo promote Aviation Security and strengthen the national aviation systems<\/p>\n
OVERSIGHT ACTIVITIES – INSPECTIONS AND AUDITS (RISK-BASED)<\/p>\n
\tPlan and execute inspections and audits following laid down ISO Procedures
\n\tConduct oversight activities as assigned by the Manager, make appropriate recommendations and submit comprehensive reports
\n\tConduct inspections\/ audits follow-ups to ensure that identified security gaps are closed
\n\tEvaluate, validate and review security programs and manuals for Airport Operators, , Air Carriers, Air Navigation Service Providers, and Catering Service Providers
\n\tProcess applications for the designation of Officials for Aviation Security at the airports and airlines
\n\tParticipate in development and continuous improvement of functional procedures and quality management documents<\/p>\n
ADMINISTRATION<\/p>\n
\tPerform job-related administrative tasks
\n\tCreate and maintain a database of allocated clients
\n\tCreate and maintain a database for non-compliances on the findings register
\n\tHandle internal and external correspondence through the Manager
\n\tMaintain the AVSEC Documents management system in line with the Records Management Procedure and personal information in compliance with the POPIA.<\/p>\n
ENFORCEMENT AND COMPLIANCE<\/p>\n
\tFollow up on and evaluate corrective action plans.
\n\tInitiate enforcement by alerting the manager of non-conformances, in line with the Enforcement procedure.
\n\tInitiate enforcement action for cases of non-compliances meriting enforcement action in line with the Enforcement Procedure.<\/p>\n
AMENDMENTS TO REGULATIONS<\/p>\n
\tRecommend to the Manager a review of regulations to address identified gaps in the security system.
\n\tParticipate in the process of amending legal instruments related to aviation security.<\/p>\n
LIAISON AND CONSULTATION<\/p>\n
\tMonitor and observe Local Airport Security Committee meetings as and when assigned and provide feedback to SACAA through the Manager
\n\tAttend to all requests and queries in line with the SACAA policies and procedures
\n\tProvide feedback on queries raised by operators.
\n\tParticipate in security awareness programs and SACAA initiatives.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualification:<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma in Administration or Relevant NQF 6 qualification
\n\tBasic aviation security Certificates and other related certificates<\/p>\n
Ideal Qualification:<\/p>\n
\tNQF Level 6 Diploma in Security Risk Management, Quality Management or other relevant certificates<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\t3 years Aviation Security or related experience<\/p>\n
