\nThe Parts Manager will be responsible for the following:<\/p>\n
\tTo ensure the highest degree of customer satisfaction.
\n\tTo maintain an agreed profit margin and return on investment
\n\tTo actively seek to maintain \/ achieve an acceptable market share
\n\tTo maintain a satisfactory parts service to other dealership departments
\n\tTo sell the maximum amount of parts to trade and retail customers<\/p>\n
Specific Role Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0
\nResponsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tInterview, select and hire required staff according to Company policy
\n\tStaff- to establish and maintain adequately trained staff needed to achieve agreed objectives
\n\tResponsible for performance management and maintenance of discipline of staff
\n\tTraining – to maintain training standards and to ensure that customer relations training is particularly effective
\n\tTo keep all staff updated on changes to existing models and on newly introduced models, exchange units and accessories
\n\tAdministration – to ensure all transactions are correctly recorded and information passed on to other departments
\n\tTo ensure that stock levels are promptly and accurately updated To monitor customer credit facilities
\n\tTo ensure payment for goods supplied is collected timeously
\n\tTo ensure that a concise record of cash deposits held is kept
\n\tDeposits to be taken on specially ordered parts of 100% of retail price and on fast-moving parts of 50%
\n\tTo ensure that remittances for payments received are sent through to the Admin department timeously
\n\tCommunication – to maintain direct liaison with manufacturers, suppliers and major customers
\n\tMonitor and authorise all credit notes daily and take action as required
\n\tPerpetual parts stock takes must be performed daily by yourself and correct records kept and any variance to be updated on the system immediately
\n\tTo make a contribution to the dealership’s annual marketing plan
\n\tFinance – to operate within purchasing budget
\n\tTo report any suppliers’ major price changes to Dealer Principal and Finance Accountant
\n\tTo ensure that the department operates within overall department budget
\n\tTo ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction at all times
\n\tTo achieve and maintain sales according to targeted requirements
\n\tTo ensure and maintain a satisfactory parts service to all other departments within the dealership
\n\tTo maximize all sales to the retail and trade customers and ensure that a high market share is attained
\n\tTo maintain agreed profit margins and adhere to company policy with regards to discounting structure
\n\tTo maintain the invoicing policy of the company
\n\tTo ensure that company standards are met with regard to stock ordering procedures
\n\tTo ensure that your departments banking is done daily
\n\tTo ensure that daily banking sheets are balanced and reported correctly
\n\tTo ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the parts department at all times
\n\tTo ensure the security of the parts department at all times
\n\tEnsure new vehicle department informed of changes in spec \/ new accessories
\n\tEnsure that dead stock returns are carried out in accordance with Company policy A minimum of 2 x annual wall-to-wall stock takes are required<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\t2-3 years experience in same or similar role
\n\tMinimum 3 years experience in the motor industry
\n\tMatric\/Equivalent
\n\tTertiary Qualification (pref)<\/p>\n
Skills and Personal Attributes\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tOver years experience in Parts Sales
\n\t2-3 years experience in Management<\/p>\n
