REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
\tA relevant National Diploma (NQF 6) in Civil Engineering. Computer literacy: MS Office. A minimum of 3-5 year’s relevant experience in construction project management. Local government experience is an added advantage. Registration with ECSA or SACPCMP will be an added advantage. Valid Driver’s Licence.<\/p>\n
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:<\/p>\n
\tProgramme and project management.
\n\tManagement of Capital projects from various grants and funding.
\n\tWillingness to work irregular hours.
\n\tGood communication and inter-personal management.
\n\tAbility to meet pre-determined deadlines.<\/p>\n
RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
\tBe responsible for projects planning and design, including compiling business plans for new infrastructure.
\n\tEnsure project compliance with all applicable legislation, policies and conditions applicable to MIG.
\n\tMonitor and report progress to immediate supervisor on PMU Projects taking place within the municipality.
\n\tConduct site visits to ensure compliance with business plan conditions.
\n\tProvide technical support to non-technical departments on planning, construction and implementation of capital projects.
\n\tLiaise with internal and external stakeholder.
\n\tCheck payments certificates and submit monthly payment schedule documentation to immediate supervisor.
\n\tCoordinate regular progress project stakeholder meetings.
\n\tCoordinate the handover of completed PMU projects.
\n\tPerform relevant administration functions and any other duties pertaining to PMU as may be directed by the immediate supervisor.
\n\tAdhere to all relevant construction conditions of contracts when monitoring projects.<\/p>\n
