Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tLiaise with engineers and other departments in the company.
\n\tCreate detailed mechanical drawings and designs using SolidWorks, including Manufacturing Drawings, QC drawings, General Assembly Drawings, Exploded View and Sectional Assembly Drawings, with a focus on General Assembly drawings.
\n\tCollaborate with engineers to develop and refine mechanical components and systems.
\n\tEnsure all designs meet industry standards and specifications.
\n\tMaintain accurate documentation of design processes and modifications.
\n\tAssist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations.
\n\tSupport the prototyping and testing of new designs.
\n\tComply with engineering and draughting best practices.
\n\tConform to PDM (Product Data Management) and Product Lifecycle Management systems and controls.
\n\tAdhere to filing structure and part numbering system.
\n\tCreate part numbers and manage BOMs (Bill of Materials) on the company\u2019s ERP system.
\n\tWilling to work additional hours if required.<\/p>\n

Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 3 years of relevant SolidWorks experience. Please DO NOT APPLY if you do not fulfil this requirement.
\n\t2 years of experience working with large EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), Project Management, and Engineering Consulting Houses is advantageous.
\n\t1 year of mineral processing site experience is advantageous.
\n\tKnowledge of the design process (PLM or PDM) and creating bill of materials.<\/p>\n
Good knowledge of draughting standards and manufacturing processes, with an advanced understanding of:<\/p>\n
\tLimits and fits
\n\tGeometric tolerancing
\n\tWelding standards and symbols
\n\tSheet metal cutting (Laser, Flame, Plasma)
\n\tSheet metal bending
\n\tKnowledge of ERP systems (preferably Syspro).
\n\tHigh level of self-awareness.
\n\tHigh level of neatness, very orderly, and able to work with minimal supervision while achieving KPIs as required.
\n\tMust have own transport.
\n\tNo EE (Employment Equity) requirements for the role.<\/p>\n

\tProficiency in SolidWorks is compulsory; candidates without this skill will not be considered.
\n\tHigh degree of self-awareness and ability to work effectively in a team.<\/p>\n
