CAF is looking to recruit an Executive Director \u2013 CAF Southern Zone (Council for Southern Africa Football Associations – COSAFA)<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Office Setup and Administration:<\/p>\n
\tEstablish and operationalize the Zonal Union office, including logistics, staffing, financial systems, and legal compliance.
\n\tReport to the Director of Member Associations and ensure the office operates in line with CAF regulations and local legislation (labor, tax, and corporate law).
\n\tManage office budgeting and expenditure reporting to CAF HQ.
\n\tOnboarding of the Zonal Union team.
\n\tDefine staff roles, establish HR policies, and manage staff performance and development.<\/p>\n
Manage relationship with Member Association and CAF HQ<\/p>\n
\tAct as CAF\u2019s primary regional representative and liaison with MAs.
\n\tConduct regular visits to MAs and attend General Assemblies when required.
\n\tMonitor developments within MAs (governance, leadership changes, strategy updates).
\n\tGuide Member Associations in project planning, execution, and monitoring within the CAF IMPACT framework.
\n\tTrack project progress, ensure quality delivery, and report regularly to CAF on status and outcomes
\n\tFacilitate cooperation and knowledge exchange among MAs.
\n\tMonitor the political and operational environment of MAs to anticipate challenges and inform CAF HQ.<\/p>\n
Competition Management:<\/p>\n
\tOrganize a minimum of one women\u2019s and four youth competitions (boys and girls) annually, including CAF qualifiers.
\n\tPrepare and manage competition budgets, negotiate hosting agreements, and coordinate calendars.
\n\tSupport development of zonal competition regulations and drive commercial\/sponsorship opportunities<\/p>\n
Requirements (profile):<\/p>\n
\tSignificant experience in administration, project and team management, or international development.
\n\tStrong Understanding in development frameworks.
\n\tStrategic thinker with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
\n\tFluent in English knowledge of French and Portuguese is an asset.
\n\tWilling to relocate to Johannesburg, South Africa
\n\tWillingness to travel frequently within the region.<\/p>\n
