\tProvide technical and project management input for\u00a0strategic planning and implementation\u00a0as guided by the Nkomazi SEZ.
\n\tManage high level cost control\u00a0of the various workstreams making up the greater Nkomazi SEZ project.
\n\tAssist the Namakwa SEZ to\u00a0develop institutional management mechanisms\u00a0and arrangements related to the greater Nkomazi SEZ Project workstreams to ensure the effective and ongoing management of thereof.
\n\tAssist the Nkomazi SEZ with\u00a0managing Investor Attraction Support services\u00a0provided from IZP Head Office (Sandton) and ultimately to develop institutional capacity at the Nkomazi SEZ to provide these services from within their own PMO.
\n\tAssist the Nkomazi SEZ with\u00a0managing Institutional Development Support services\u00a0provided from IZP Head Office (Sandton) and ultimately to develop institutional capacity at the Nkomazi SEZ to provide these services from within their own PMO.
\n\tAssist the Nkomazi SEZ with\u00a0managing Governance, Oversight and Corporate Support services provided from IZP Head Office (Sandton) and ultimately to develop institutional capacity at the Namakwa SEZ to provide these services from within their own PMO.
\n\tAssist in the\u00a0creation, implementation, management and monitoring\u00a0of\u00a0project management policies, standards and\u00a0Assist in developing definitions and measurements of success to objectively quantify project success and report progress against agreed plans. Assist with the commencement and application of a comprehensive quality management system.
\n\tBe\u00a0accountability for the quality of deliverables\u00a0related to the various PSP and implementation workstreams.
\n\tWork effectively with other\u00a0stakeholders, including but not limited to Nkomazi SEZ SOC Ltd, MEGA, ISA, DBSA, various local municipal- and provincial services authorities, etc.
\n\tDevelop and implement\u00a0operational systems\u00a0for the project management office.
\n\tProject Management and Contract Administration of appointed
\n\tOversee and agree the\u00a0packaging of critical external and internal bulk infrastructure implementation projects by PSPs and Construction Contractors\u00a0and oversee the design and construction of these.
\n\tInform and manage the\u00a0PSPs and Construction contractors\u00a0with regards to\u00a0project budget compliance. Assess monthly payment claims against budget allocation and make recommendations with regards payment.
\n\tInform and manage the\u00a0PSP and construction contractors\u00a0with regards to\u00a0project programme, timeline and key milestone compliance. Assess fortnightly progress reports against agreed baseline programmes and agreed milestone dates and make recommendations with regards
\n\tReceive any\u00a0claims\u00a0from the PSPs and Construction Contractors, evaluate these and provide the Nkomazi SEZ\/MEGA with recommendations on determination made in this regard.
\n\tOversee the development and implementation of\u00a0turnaround strategies\u00a0by PSPs and Construction Contractors to unlock any impediments facing the infrastructure delivery programmes and to mitigate\/avoid any possible delays to the Nkomazi SEZ project implementation workstreams.<\/p>\n
Qualification and Experience<\/p>\n
\tDegree in the Built Environment, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Town Planning, Quantity Surveying; Architecture or Construction Project Management qualification.
\n\tProfessional Registration as with the (ECSA) or (SACPLAN) or (SACQSP) or (SACAP) is required.
\n\tProfessional Registration with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) is required.<\/p>\n

\tMinimum of 8 -10 years\u2019 experience in a management position undertaking similar work as outlined in the scope of work and deliverables.
\n\tA strong understanding of Town Planning and Engineering Planning processes involved in land development.
\n\tProven experience in large scale industrial developments will be an added advantage.
\n\tExceptional planning and organizational skills: the ability to handle several complex tasks simultaneously and coordinate key projects with a variety of stakeholders is essential
\n\tProven communication skills are essential – must possess great written and verbal skills to be able to work effectively with others.

\n\tExperience working in a high-level collaborative environment

The IDC was mandated to develop domestic industrial capacity, specifically in manufactured goods, to mitigate the disruption of trade between Europe and South Africa during the Second World War.
