Duties and responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tDeliver lectures, tutorials, small-group discussions, and practical training sessions in integrated Anatomy and Physiology, with a focus on clinical application, to undergraduate students in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
\n\tDeliver lectures, seminars and tutorials in Human Anatomy and Physiology to postgraduate students in Medicine and the Health Professions.
\n\tFacilitate small-group discussions and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
\n\tInvolvement in curriculum development and module management in modules presented to undergraduate and postgraduate students in health professions.
\n\tParticipate in the departmental research programme and postgraduate supervision.<\/p>\n
Inherent requirements:<\/p>\n
\tMBChB degree on NQF Level 8
\n\tRegistration as a Physician with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)(attach proof).
\n\tClinical experience as a medical practitioner.
\n\tProven experience in the delivery of poster or oral presentations at conferences or equivalent activities.
\n\tA good academic record (attach a copy).<\/p>\n
Recommendations:<\/p>\n
\tProven record of teaching Anatomy and\/or Physiology-related modules at an undergraduate and\/or postgraduate level.
\n\tResearch experience in the clinical field of Anatomy\/Physiology with evidence of manuscripts produced that have the potential to be converted or submitted for publication, ideally in an accredited journal.
\n\tProven academic work experience in the higher education sector.
\n\tA valid driver’s license.
\n\tKnowledge of an additional South African language<\/p>\n
