Job Description<\/p>\n
\tThe Maintenance Technician Millwright is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all equipments within Geochem laboratories.
\n\tMaintain and repair all equipment at the Geochem Laboratories.
\n\tRoutinely inspecting electrical and mechanical systems such as wiring, fixtures, and appliances.
\n\tPerforms activities\/sequences associated with troubleshooting\/fault finding and repairing to medium\/low voltage reticulation and electrical systems, including mechanical systems
\n\tInspect the laboratories regularly, conduct routine maintenance, perform repairs.
\n\tCompile and complete equipment register for all laboratories.
\n\tPlan and manage all repair and installation activities.
\n\tAttend to both electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
\n\tAssess breakdowns and apply appropriate fault-finding techniques.
\n\tMaintain and\/or repair low level and high-level electrical equipment.
\n\tEnsure adherence to scheduled preventative maintenance.
\n\tDevelop and itemize the critical spare list with Maintenance manager.
\n\tAssist with the implementation of the strategy set out for the set-up\/commissioning of new or expanded facilities within Geochem.
\n\tAssist with the development and execution of operating plans, targets\/budgets for such operations as per above.
\n\tAssist with the development, maintenance, and implementation of (new) services.
\n\tAssist with carrying out planned technical audits\/evaluations of Geochem operations, compiling action plans and the execution of action plans to rectify audit findings.
\n\tPerform relevant technical training to new\/existing staff at Geochem operations where required.
\n\tAssist Operations to prepare for ISO audits by assisting Management and Quality Assurance personnel with the maintenance related accreditation process and support.
\n\tEnsuring compliance to local and group standards of HS for Geochem operations by assisting during technical audits.
\n\tAdhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system.
\n\tPerform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by direct manager.
\n\tAccountable for time keeping and material recorded on job request document.
\n\tBe available for call outs and standby- duties.<\/p>\n

Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12,N6,Diploma
\n\tTrade Tested Artisan (Millwright)
\n\tPLC recommended.
\n\tAdditional experience and qualifications above the minimum requirements will be to the applicant\u2019s advantage.
\n\tValid driver\u2019s License
\n\tMinimum of 5 years relevant experience<\/p>\n
Required Skills<\/p>\n
\tGood understanding of the technical features of plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and electrical, instrumentation and PLC systems.
\n\tStrong knowledge of the facilities\u2019 machines and equipment.
\n\tGeneral hand tools and basic equipment use.
\n\tKnowledge and experience in Gas and electrical furnaces for example, Pipes, pumps, conveyors and controls, etc.(advantage)
\n\tKnowledge and experience in electrical \u2013 advanced electrical installations and circuits.
\n\tKnowledge and experience in mechanical equipment.
\n\tKnowledge and experience in plumbing and water pressure valves.
\n\tExcellent organizational and leadership abilities.
\n\tExceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
\n\tGood problem-solving skills.
