\tWe are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales & Marketing Manager to lead brand development, marketing initiatives, and field sales operations within the agricultural feed industry. This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for agriculture, capable of driving both strategic marketing and high-performance sales execution
\n\tThe successful candidate will inspire and guide a team of regional sales agents, foster strong customer relationships, and ensure that marketing strategies directly support business growth in the competitive animal feed sector
\n\tDuties & Responsibilities
\n\tLead, coach, and manage a team of field-based sales agents across multiple regions
\n\tSet and monitor performance targets, including sales volume, market growth, and new customer acquisition
\n\tConduct regular field visits, team meetings, and one-on-one performance sessions
\n\tReview and approve sales reports, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals
\n\tIdentify new business opportunities, strategic accounts, and regional growth priorities
\n\tEnsure consistent messaging, pricing, and branding within the sales function
\n\tDevelop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy in line with business objectives
\n\tOversee product branding, packaging, and marketing materials
\n\tManage product launches, campaigns, and regional sales support initiatives
\n\tEngage with customers at a senior level to resolve escalations and build strong partnerships
\n\tRepresent the company at farmer’s days, trade shows, and industry events
\n\tCollaborate with Technical, Operations, and Procurement teams to align supply chain, product forecasting, and customer demand
\n\tProvide training for both sales agents and customers on technical and product-related topics
\n\tManage the marketing and sales budget, monitoring ROI on campaigns
\n\tPrepare monthly management reports with performance insights and recommendations
\n\tAnalyse market trends, customer data, and competitor activities to inform strategy<\/p>\n
Skills Required<\/p>\n
\tExceptional leadership and team management capabilities
\n\tBSc (Agric) Animal Science or related qualification
\n\tIn-depth knowledge of animal nutrition and the animal feed industry
\n\tMinimum of 5 years’ experience in a marketing or sales leadership role, preferably within agriculture or animal feed
\n\tProven experience in managing and developing sales teams
\n\tProficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
\n\tFluent in Afrikaans and English
\n\tStrong communication, coaching, and presentation skills
\n\tAnalytical and data-driven decision-making approach
\n\tCustomer-centric mindset with excellent relationship-building skills
\n\tDeep understanding of agricultural markets, particularly livestock and feed producers
