language training to all local and international Air Traffic Services (ATS) delegates as and when required as per the ICAO English language proficiency guidelines.<br \/>\n\tEnsure that optimum Aviation English training solutions are consistently developed, updated and maintained.<br \/>\n\tCreate a learning environment that is conducive for theoretical training sessions to develop competent ATS personnel who can demonstrate the necessary fundamental knowledge, skills and attitudes to structure, pronounce and effectively utilise the English language in the air traffic management environment.<br \/>\n\tAdhere to training activities following approved training plans, curricula, syllabi, training and daily schedules and related QMS documentation.<br \/>\n\tDevelop educational material to support the delivery of Aviation English language training courses and related courses.<br \/>\n\tMonitor trainees\u2019 progress against the interim and final Aviation English language standards to diagnose root causes of language difficulties and recommend remedial training interventions when necessary.<br \/>\n\tProvide continuous feedback on performance to trainees and suggest applicable corrective\/remedial actions, where appropriate.<br \/>\n\tDiagnose individual deficiencies and provide timely remediation in a manner that will aid trainee progress to attain the minimum Aviation English language level.<br \/>\n\tDiagnose systematic deficiencies and provide recommendations to ATA management for remediation and continuous improvement.<br \/>\n\tCarry out valid and reliable assessments and examinations, using appropriate assessment tools, following approved assessment plans, and gathering evidence of competent performance through oral observations and any other relevant methodologies.<br \/>\n\tDevelop and compile assessment tools to ensure fair and objective assessment of integrated performance and, whilst at the same time, evaluate the performance of the identified competency elements against interim and final competency standards.<br \/>\n\tAnalyse results, reports and feedback for continuous improvement of Aviation English language proficiencies and relevant techniques.<br \/>\n\tManage issues related to trainee attitude by employing appropriate techniques to support trainees in acquiring or adjusting attitudes to create a values-based safety culture within ATNS and in adherence to the ATNS Code of Conduct.<br \/>\n\tReview and amend (if appropriate) assessment exercises and training objectives to ensure fit-forpurpose Aviation English language is maintained.<br \/>\n\tComply with and promote Occupational Health and Safety (OHAS) standards and requirements as applicable to the delivery and administration of training interventions.<br \/>\n\tExercise a personal duty of care for own health, safety and welfare and those affected by acts or omissions, by actively demonstrating exemplary personal and aviation safety leadership behaviours at all times.<br \/>\n\tPerform course leader duties as appointed and tasked following the ATA QMS.<br \/>\n\tPerform pre-course administration as per the ATA QMS and approved Aviation English curricula\/syllabi requirements.<br \/>\n\tPrepare course administration as per the ATA QMS and approved Aviation English course curricula\/syllabi requirements.<br \/>\n\tDraft course programmes and ensure approval thereof following the ATA QMS.<br \/>\n\tCheck and validate the relevance, correctness and completeness of appropriate Aviation English courseware and equipment as per approved curricula\/syllabi.<br \/>\n\tConduct course interviews and complete course reports, as appropriate, following the ATA QMS.<br \/>\n\tReport any accidents, incidents, breaches or potential breaches to appropriate management.<br \/>\n\tProtect information assets and data, including both electronic and paper-based, from all threats, whether internal, external, deliberate or accidental.<br \/>\n\tProvide subject matter expert (SME) input to the ATA Learning Design and Development (LDD) with the design and development of Aviation English course curricula\/syllabi, lesson plans, training media and courseware following the ATA QMS.<br \/>\n\tAttend and participate in Aviation English language training workshops and events to ensure continued alignment between ATA and regulatory bodies.<\/p>\n<p>Minimum requirements<br \/>\nRequired minimum education<\/p>\n<p>\tBachelor\u2019s degree in foreign language training<br \/>\n\tICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) Assessment: Aviation English Rater course<br \/>\n\tA Master\u2019s degree in English Language Teaching will be an advantage<br \/>\n\tAccredited by the South African Civil Aviation Authority<\/p>\n<p>Required minimum experience<\/p>\n<p>\tMinimum of three years\u2019 experience delivering Aviation English Language training to Air Traffic Controllers, Pilots and other licensed personnel under the ICAO annexure 1.<br \/>\n\tExperience in delivering Aviation English Language training to local and international non-English speaking clients<br \/>\n\tRadiotelephony and aviation familiarisation (through aviation English apprenticeship or experience)<br \/>\n\tCompetence in Microsoft Office applications.<br \/>\n\tGood command of the English language.<\/p>\n<p>Apply
