Job Description<\/p>\n
\tWe are looking for an experienced Maintenance Shift Leader to provide strong technical leadership and direction to a team of artisans and technicians.
\n\tYou will be responsible for ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on time, while driving continuous improvement and minimizing equipment downtime.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
\tOversee and run an efficient maintenance operation to meet operational and production targets.
\n\tAchieve zero breakdowns weekly and reduce production downtime.
\n\tPerform and supervise scheduled, routine, and preventative maintenance to minimise unplanned stoppages.
\n\tDiagnose and repair breakdowns quickly to maximise equipment availability.
\n\tRecord and document all maintenance work, equipment history, and recurring issues.
\n\tConduct root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to resolve technical problems and develop action plans.
\n\tManage tools, spares, and maintenance budget effectively.
\n\tSet and monitor KPIs for artisans and technicians, coach and mentor the team, and encourage innovative solutions to unique challenges.
\n\tApply technical expertise to support plant operations and troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues.
\n\tEnsure full compliance with OSH-Act and regulatory requirements.
\n\tCompile weekly reports on artisan utilisation, department expenditure, and maintenance performance.<\/p>\n
Qualifiication \/ Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tN6 with Trade Test or technical diploma\/degree (Fitter, Electrical, or Millwright) with completion of a formal apprenticeship.
\n\tMinimum 10 years\u2019 artisan experience with proven leadership skills.
\n\tStrong electrical troubleshooting skills, including reading schematics and using test equipment (multimeters oscilloscopes).
\n\tSolid understanding of maintenance principles, technical manuals, blueprints, and safety regulations.
\n\tProficient in maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office.
\n\tStrong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.<\/p>\n
Physical Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tMobility to move freely within a manufacturing environment, including climbing ladders and bending.
\n\tAbility to lift and carry up to 30kg occasionally.
\n\tGood manual dexterity, vision, and hearing for technical work and equipment inspection<\/p>\n
