Detailed description<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:<\/p>\n
\tImplement data and analytics standards and frameworks across the SARB to ensure optimised analytical solutions and adherence to best practice, including of the Data Management Association (DAMA), Data Operations, Development Operations (DevOps), Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) etc.
\n\tContinuously develop BI and analytics solutions and reports aligned to clients\u2019 strategies.
\n\tTake responsibility for BI and analytics solutions and reports for domain-specific implementations across the SARB.
\n\tDesign, build and support data analytics solutions and reports that are robust, modular, scalable, deployable, reproducible and versioned for analytics and reporting purposes.
\n\tContinuously monitor domain-specific analytical solutions and reports to ensure solution availability.
\n\tEnhance and optimise domain-specific analytical solutions and reports, ensuring the continuous improvement and optimal long-term performance of analytical solutions and reports.
\n\tDiagnose, resolve and provide solution support to raised incidents and issues across domain-specific analytical solutions and reports.
\n\tImplement security and compliance rules to ensure adherence to relevant policies with respect to all BI and analytics solutions and reports.
\n\tIdentify, manage and mitigate risks relating to domain-specific analytics services.
\n\tProactively engage and problem-solve with cross-functional stakeholders, from technical data teams to managers, to resolve incidents and issues on analytical solutions and reports.
\n\tReport and provide recommendations to management on solution utilisation, performance and improvements for domain-specific solutions.
\n\tGuide and train business users on how to use analytical solutions and reports as well as relevant reporting technologies.
\n\tImpart knowledge of the technical environment to other analytics support specialists, data engineers, application technical specialists and product owners.<\/p>\n
Job requirements<\/p>\n
To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:<\/p>\n
\ta Bachelor\u2019s degree (NQF 7) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Management\/Technology or an equivalent qualification;
\n\tfive to eight years\u2019 experience in building, optimising, and enhancing BI solutions on SAS (Base, Enterprise Guide, E-Miner), Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform
\n\tsolid experience with other BI tools such as MicroStrategy, Oracle OBIEE\/OAS, Teradata, T-SQL, Oracle Developer and Tableau.<\/p>\n
The following would be an added advantage:<\/p>\n
\tExperience with Microsoft Fabric;
\n\tExperience with Python and\/or R;
\n\tExperience using cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure;
\n\tData engineering certifications.
\n\tData Modelling;
\n\tPower BI certificate.
\n\tSAS certifications; and\/or
\n\tExperience with implementin<\/p>\n
