Job Purpose:<\/p>\n
\tPlan and coordinates seed production activities with seed growers in order to meet the seed availability-, and quality standards required.
\n\tEnsures the efficient use of human resources, equipment and materials.<\/p>\n
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tShare and drive the Vision and Mission 2030 to implementation.
\n\tActively participate in \u00a0DSO principles in field squad.
\n\tSeed Production
\n\tGrower selection and recruitment building strong grower network and maintaining good relationships and trust.
\n\tCoordinate and supervise key cultivation activities from field selection, soil preparation, planting, weed, insect control, fertilizing and irrigation monitoring.
\n\tLead the planning and coordination of production activities, Pre-season crop placement plan, Grower contracting administration, Planting, Detasseling and Harvesting.
\n\tLead the coordination with seed growers to ensure a smooth transition and flow of product from field to plant.
\n\tTake ownership of own assigned hectares to produce.
\n\tDigital Transformation
\n\tEnsure data integrity and team compliance in updating data real-time during field production. (Velocity, Field Report et. al). Analyze own field data Quality and risk
\n\tEnsure commercial seed production fields are cultivated to the ultimate quality standards. Take responsibility for assigned Hectares every season.
\n\tIdentify risks continuously and implement preventive and pro-active strategies driving potential company loss to a minimum. Take ownership of Seed certification process for own fields.

\n\tActively look for opportunities in resource and talent flow to squad for specific outcomes in 90-day cycles.
\n\tCost management: Deliver cost reduction directly in field production squad.
\n\tPrevent financial loss to Bayer by limiting grower guarantee payments, controllable risk and other variable compensation components.
\n\tQuality Safety and OnePSS Systems:
\n\tEnsure compliance with ISO9001:2015 and ISO45001.
\n\tActively record safety observation and near misses, Adhere to all applicable legislation, Bayer safety policies and procedures, Actively promote the Bayer safety culture and best practices Lead HSE efforts according ISO45001 standards focusing on legal compliance and identifying safety risks applying the HIRA methodology.
\n\tLead the implementation of and compliance with quality assurance standards in field mission.
\n\tIdentify and deploy operational improvement, tracking and best practices and processes to continually seek improvements in reliability and cost efficiencies.
\n\tManage Velocity\/Scout data, to ensure correctness for contracting and field processes.
\n\tUtilize onePSS as a platform to implement best practices (Visual Management, track KPI`s on Tier 2 and 3 meetings.
\n\tIncrease operational efficiency and advance customer experience through continuous improvement initiatives<\/p>\n
Qualifications Required:<\/p>\n
\tAgricultural or technical Diploma or 3 years practical experience in farming activities, planting and harvesting.
\n\t3 Years seed production experience
\n\tSACAA RPAS Drone Pilot License advantageous
\n\tSANSOR Registration<\/p>\n
