RESPONSIBILITIES:
\nPolicy, Systems & Procedure Administration\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tAdminister all internal audit policies, and audit methodology documents.\u00a0
\n\tDisseminate documents to line managers for planning and implementation.\u00a0
\n\tAdminister relationships that have been established with all NSFAS business unit staff.\u00a0
\n\tWork collaboratively with business unit staff as a trusted partner operating independently and providing assurance with regards to the operations and control environment within business and use audit policies, systems, and procedures to implement audit execution across departments.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure that audits and internal audit assignments are executed in accordance with Section 10 of the Audit Methodology.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Core Objectives Administration\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tSupport senior auditors as assigned by the department head in effectively performing daily operations.\u00a0
\n\tDraft and submit timeous audit issues with findings and recommendations.\u00a0
\n\tAdminister audits in line with the Internal Audit Methodology specifically: scoping, problem statement \/ hypothesis wording, testing procedures, sampling and source data and testing results.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure that audit issues closed by management are adequately and timely issue assured, and that issues assurance testing and reporting is executed according to the methodology.\u00a0
\n\tDocument the daily audit operations in line with section 9 and 10 of the audit methodologies.\u00a0
\n\tCoordinate audit implementation between internal audit unit and relevant departments.\u00a0
\n\tCoordinate timeous closure of internal audit issues with departments.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Performance Contracting\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tEnsure individual performance contract is signed and reviews are done in line with policy.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Management & Relationships\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tBuild relationships with colleagues in other departments.\u00a0
\n\tDaily liaison with clients.\u00a0
\n\tEffectively engage with clients throughout the audit process.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Budget Administration\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tAdhere to budgetary requirements per audit assignment and complete weekly timesheets.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Compliance Monitoring, Evaluation and Sound Reporting\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tAdminister approved reporting templates and tools for the unit.\u00a0
\n\tAvail the templates for use by the unit senior employees.\u00a0
\n\tUse of approved reporting templates and tools and make recommendations for improvements over time.\u00a0
\n\tAdhere to internal audit methodology and processes.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Information & Knowledge Management\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tCollaborate with stakeholders to build systems that enable the management of data obtained from different sources.\u00a0
\n\tCollaborate with stakeholders to use their experience, education and understanding to obtain knowledge from this information.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Reporting & Accountability\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tDocument audit findings and exceptions identified while testing.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure all exceptions are substantiated through sufficient evidence where possible.\u00a0
\n\tProduce clear, concise, and detailed audit reports.\u00a0
\n\tComply with the relevant professional standards during performance of individual duties and responsibilities.\u00a0
\n\tHousekeeping of all internal audit findings and exceptions as shared by senior employees.\u00a0
\n\tHousekeeping documents of all audit evidence as provided by senior employees.\u00a0

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\u00a0
\nMinimum requirements:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tNQF Level 7 relevant and in support of Internal Audit \/ Forensic Auditing.\u00a0
\n\tComputer literacy \u2013 Intermediate MS Package Suite\u00a0
\n\tDriver\u2019s License\u00a0
\n\t4 – 5 years\u2019 experience in either Internal Auditing, Forensic Auditing in both the financial services and government sectors\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Preferred:<\/p>\n
\tNQF Level 7 – in Internal Auditing or Forensic Auditing\u00a0
\n\t5 + years\u2019 experience in either Internal Auditing, Forensic Auditing in both the financial services and government sectors.<\/p>\n
