Address \/ manage all external and internal stakeholder needs\/concerns on an inter-provincial level.<br \/>\n\tEnsure that the operational support by the PBMTM department to internal and external stakeholders is of a standardized, high quality across all geographical areas.<br \/>\n\tDrive quality improvement processes\/projects that contributes to optimal patient outcomes \/ improved stakeholder relationships: Internally and Externally.<br \/>\n\tProvide daily clinical support to all SANBS operational areas as and when required.<\/p>\n<p>Job description<\/p>\n<p>KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAS)<\/p>\n<p>KPA 1: Business Planning, Budgeting &amp; \u00a0Operational Implementation Relating to Hospital support services by SANBS<\/p>\n<p>KPI<\/p>\n<p>\tPerform trend analysis for business unit identifying areas of growth, change, risk and opportunity.<br \/>\n\tDevelop a business plan and resource needs analysis for the hospital support services arm of the PBMTM department after collaboration with Lead Consultant Patient Blood Management and relevant stakeholders \u2013 aligned with the SANBS Purpose, Mission and Vision.<br \/>\n\tPlan and operationalize PBM &amp; Transfusion Medicine (T M)best-practice strategies as required by LC PBMTM and\/or Medical Director to support and promote the direction SANBS is taking on PBM and TM.<br \/>\n\tDevelop an approved departmental budget and ensure deadlines are met for own deliverables.<br \/>\n\tMonitor budget and expenses for specified projects and operational activities to ensure cost-effectiveness and financial sustainability on allocated budget items. \u00a0<br \/>\n\tParticipate in regular two-way communication with line-manager and team to ensure effective execution of objectives.<br \/>\n\tMonitor performance to plan and where variances occur due to unforeseen circumstances, review business plan and make recommendations for change to the LC PBMTM.<\/p>\n<p>KPA 2: Quality Assurance and Compliance to Standards of Practice, Policies, Procedures and Protocols<br \/>\nKPI<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure and drive adherence to the relevant SANAS regulations and relevant South African legislation \u2013 within the scope of the role.<br \/>\n\tOversee and ensure the management of all relevant (non-clinical) HLO documents as per SANBS policies.<br \/>\n\tIdentify and monitor risks through interaction (direct and indirect) with internal and external stakeholders and implement plans to mitigate and reduce risks with guidance and assistance of LC PBMTM.<br \/>\n\tSupport external stakeholders\u2019 quality improvement projects and initiatives related to PBM \/ TM \/ SANBS service delivery \u2013 at an inter-provincial level.<br \/>\n\tIdentify quality failures with regards to PBM \/ TM \/ service delivery and actively assist internal and external teams with quality improvement initiatives \u2013 with assistance and guidance of LCPBM.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tTimeously attend to any quality notifications as required.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tIdentify and highlight any potential medico-legal cases as it applies to PBM or TM, to the LC PBMTM timely.<\/p>\n<p>KPA 3: Improving internal processes related to the PBMTM department<br \/>\nKPI<\/p>\n<p>\tCollaborate with internal stakeholders to development of education \/ awareness \/ promotional \/ other material as required \u2013 within the scope of the role.<br \/>\n\tDraft, and provide input into (and where applicable, assist with implementation of) all material and procedures to external stakeholders as it pertains to Patient Blood Management and Transfusion Medicine \u2013 within the scope of the role \u2013 when requested.<br \/>\n\tMonitor and analyse trends (as decided upon by Business and LCPBMTM) with regards to the PBMTM department area of work.<br \/>\n\tDevelop and ensure adequate, effective monitoring systems of metrics as identified by Business and LCPBMTM.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tMonitor performance to ensure that scorecard \/ other targets are met and reported to the LC PBTM as per agreed timelines. \u00a0Action \/ report \/ elevate under-performance in an appropriate and timely manner.<br \/>\n\tOversee and review workload allocation of HLO teams &#8211; with HLO Supervisors &#8211; to ensure the SANBS support service is provided in an equitable manner across 8 provinces.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>KPA 4: Customer \/ \u00a0Stakeholder Relationship Building<br \/>\nKPI<\/p>\n<p>\tCollaborate with other divisions in SANBS (e.g. P&amp;I, Marketing, Finance and ICT) as required to synergise integrated outcomes in all matters related to Transfusion Medicine \u2013 including PBM.<br \/>\n\tLiaise with, and provide feedback to internal stakeholders regularly, to ensure SANBS PBM-related strategies are effectively operationalized\/implemented.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tProvide support to external stakeholders as required \u2013 including regular meetings with and standardized, high-quality feedback to all relevant stakeholders at an inter-provincial level.<br \/>\n\tEnsure timely assistance with queries, concerns or complaints from external or internal stakeholders.<br \/>\n\tPerform (or contribute to) SANBS surveys to better understand stakeholders\u2019 needs and concerns.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tActively work towards aligning the SANBS vision and strategic objectives with the expectations of its stakeholders \/ stakeholder groups.<br \/>\n\tEducate and motivate all role-players in the health care sector on Transfusion Medicine related matters (including PBM) \u00a0&#8211; within sphere of responsibility.<br \/>\n\tCoordinate, oversee and provide support and assistance DoH inter-provincial Blood and Lab Users committees and help to maintain SANBS presence across 8 provinces.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tCoordinate, oversee and provide support and assistance to Provincial \/ National Private hospital group structures as required.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>KPA 5: Aligned people management<br \/>\nKPI<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure regular two-way communication with staff to ensure understanding of SOPs, policy changes, etc.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tConduct scheduled meetings with team members across divisions.<br \/>\n\tParticipate in performance management in an ongoing basis through participation in coaching, mentoring and input into reviews.<br \/>\n\tTrack &amp;
