\tEnsure accurate employee static data is in line with statutory requirements.
\n\tImplement adequate payroll processes to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
\n\tReview of static data after system updates to ensure all is correct.
\n\tCheck correctness of information provided by HCM i.e. overtime, standby allowance, leave gratuity, long service allowance, wages hours and timesheets.
\n\tApply for tax directive on eFiling.
\n\tProcess changes to medical aid, trade unions, retirement funds.
\n\tValidation of correctness of payroll inputs by issuing the variance report to HCM before payments for each pay run i.e. weekly, monthly for the 15th and end of the month.
\n\tEnsure that the S&T import file is imported correctly for weekly payment.
\n\tProcessing of payroll related payment journals for each payment processed.
\n\tCheck the correctness of the salary journals before rolling over to the next period.
\n\tReconciliation of payroll accounts.
\n\tEnsure pay slips and IRP5’s are sent to ESS on time.
\n\tEnsure filling of employee records is properly filed for easy retrieval.
\n\tPrepare monthly external payment files and send files for payment.
\n\tPrepare the EMP201 and filing thereof on eFiling and processing of payments timely to maintain compliance.
\n\tSend UIF Declarations to the Department of Labour.
\n\tDo validations to ensure employee data, meet SARS requirements.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0
\n\tLiaise with HR personnel with employee payroll related matters.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tDiploma in Payroll Administration or related qualification.
\n\tExperience \/training in SAGE 300 People is essential.
\n\tTwo (2) years\u2019 relevant payroll experience.
\n\tProficiency in the MS Office suite.
\n\tGood understanding of financial concepts and payroll.
\n\tKnowledge Legislation, e.g., Income Tax, BCEA, Pension Fund Rules and Medical Schemes.
\n\tAbility to work under pressure.
\n\tAbility to resolve problems.
\n\tDeadline driven and analytic thinker.
\n\tAbility to build relationships.<\/p>\n
