The Role:<\/p>\n
\tProduct Specialist in open pit mining operations, specializing in Boom and Rotary Drilling equipment. Possesses advanced expertise in electrical and hydraulic systems, CanBus communication, GPS integration, IFM modules, IP addressing, and gateway technologies.
\n\tAs a Product Specialist you will be responsible for providing quality technical support and for developing the technical competencies of the customer and internal personnel. The role is product focused and concentrates on providing guidance and advice on the implementation and strategies for the product range. \u00a0Product specifications, selection and its application lie with this role<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and organize product training for sales and service personnel for the respective products
\n\tProvide technical training to the service network and customer base on proper operation, maintenance and troubleshooting practices
\n\tProvide technical support to end users, operators, and service personnel
\n\tProvide feedback to factories to enable improvements to the equipment or its operation
\n\tProvide assistance in compiling accurate data to process warranty claims and engineering machine improvements
\n\tReview spare parts recommendations and develops accuracy of Machine Life Operating Costs (MLOC)
\n\tInvestigate warranty claims proactively and reactively to enhance customer satisfaction and provide feedback to the respective factories
\n\tMonitor test results for new products to implement improvement of the product
\n\tAssist factories with field-testing and trials of new products and updated components to ensure proper and safe operation.
\n\tPerform equipment installations and demonstrations in a safe manner<\/p>\n
Profile Required:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12\/ equivalent qualification
\n\tTrade certificate of competence (Millwright\/Electrical\/Fitter & Turner\/Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic\/Diesel Mechanic, accompanied by apprenticeship contract or apprenticeship portfolio of evidence.
\n\t5 years relevant mechanized mining experience in a surface environment
\n\tExperience in maintenance of surface drills:
\n\tMechanical, electrical, or electronic equipment maintenance competence in at least 6 of the following areas:
\n\tKnowledge on IFM Modules \u00a0\u00a0
\n\tKnowledge of CanBus systems, troubleshooting \/ maintenance
\n\tLevel 3 Low Voltage electrohydraulic electrical systems
\n\tMechanical equipment
\n\tHydraulic systems
\n\tVideo display and GPS systems
\n\tBasic IT skills (knowledge and functions of IP addresses and gate ways)
\n\tAdvanced electrical systems (low current relays, electronic timers, electrical\/electronic overloads and protection devices, solenoids, actuators, proximity devices etc.)
\n\tBasic knowledge of software
\n\tKnowledge and interpretation of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematic reading.
\n\tKnowledge of basic safety circuits
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license
\n\tFull physical & medical certificate to work in mining environment<\/p>\n
