\nRole Overview<\/p>\n
\tWe are seeking an experienced and results-driven\u00a0Channel Operations Manager\u00a0to lead and coordinate our national retail channel activities.
\n\tThis role will oversee a team of 12 Retail Representatives across South Africa, ensuring effective execution of sales, merchandising, training, and partner engagement strategies.
\n\tThe ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, operational excellence, and the ability to negotiate and secure retail opportunities to maximise brand presence where required.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities
\nTeam Leadership and Management<\/p>\n
\tLead, coach, and develop a team of 12 Retail Representatives nationwide.
\n\tManage a National Trainer to ensure consistent and impactful training delivery to retail partners.
\n\tConduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans where necessary.
\n\tFoster a high-performance culture that aligns with business goals.<\/p>\n
Channel Operations & Performance Management<\/p>\n
\tOversee and optimise execution of merchandising, promotion, training, sales and processing of reverse logistics across all reseller partners stores at both regional and national levels.
\n\tMonitor and report on sales, merchandising compliance, and promotional activities.
\n\tPrepare detailed performance reports and leverage off dashboards (PowerBi and
\n\tMorpheus) to executive regular reviews with both team and brands.
\n\tEnsure retail representatives adhere to operational guidelines, brand standards and call cycles.
\n\tManage the relationship with Morpheus, ensuring any programs created used are up to date, relevant and scalable.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Engagement<\/p>\n
\tBuild and maintain strong relationships with reseller partners at store, regional, and national levels.
\n\tCollaborate with internal brand teams to align marketing, promotion, operational and sales initiatives.
\n\tAssist team by negotiating opportunistic retail space for merchandise placement and
\n\tpromotional solutions at regional and national level.<\/p>\n
Planning & Execution<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and execute channel strategies to drive sales and brand visibility.
\n\tCoordinate national retail campaigns in collaboration with marketing and product teams.
\n\tPlan and manage travel schedules for regional store visits and key partner meetings.<\/p>\n
Administrative & Operational Excellence<\/p>\n
\tEnsure accurate and timely submission of reports, expense claims, and operational documentation.
\n\tMaintain budgets related to retail operations and training activities.
\n\tAnalyse operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.<\/p>\n
Requirements
\nQualifications:<\/p>\n
\tBCom or equivalent degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, or related field.<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 5 years in a leadership role within channel operations, retail management, or sales in the technology industry.
\n\tProven experience managing geographically dispersed teams.
\n\tTrack record in engaging with national retail\/reseller networks and internal brand teams.
\n\tStrong background in negotiating retail merchandising space.<\/p>\n

\tExceptional leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
\n\tStrong analytical and reporting capabilities.
\n\tExcellent communication and interpersonal skills at all organisational levels.
\n\tProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
\n\tHigh attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
\n\tAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines.<\/p>\n
Other Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tBased in Sandton (full-time, office-based role).
\n\tMust have a valid driver\u2019s licence and own reliable vehicle.
\n\tWillingness to travel nationally as required.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)<\/p>\n
\tAchievement of channel sales and merchandising objectives.
\n\tRetail representative performance and retention.
\n\tQuality of reseller and partner relationships
\n\tTimeliness and accuracy of performance reporting.
\n\tSuccessful negotiation and acquisition of retail merchandising space, including engaging with mall management where required.
\n\tTraining effectiveness and coverage through the National Trainer.
\n\tManagement of external service provider companies (Morpheus, storage companies, promotion companies)<\/p>\n
