\tEUM, part of the TWK Group, has the following vacancy available: Underwriter at Krugersdorp, Gauteng.<\/p>\n
Job Summary<\/p>\n
\tThis role involves underwriting and renewing insurance policies, evaluating applications, and making informed decisions aligned with company strategy.
\n\tThe underwriter will support clients and brokers, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to continuous process improvements through data analysis.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities and Duties:<\/p>\n
\tEvaluate insurance applications and renewals
\n\tMake informed underwriting decisions aligned with company strategy
\n\tPrepare and maintain policy documentation in line with legal standards
\n\tSupport clients and brokers with underwriting queries and quotations
\n\tEnsure compliance with industry regulations (FAIS, POPIA, etc.)
\n\tAnalyse underwriting data and contribute to process improvements<\/p>\n
Qualification and Skills:<\/p>\n
\tMatric \/ Grade 12
\n\t2\u20133 years\u2019 underwriting experience in insurance
\n\tA relevant degree in Finance, Insurance or Business (advantageous)
\n\tRE5 certification (advantageous)
\n\tProficient in MS Office suite
\n\tStrong analytical and decision-making skills
\n\tExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities
\n\tStrong organisational skills with attention to detail
\n\tCustomer-focused with solid problem-solving ability
\n\tAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines<\/p>\n
