\tWe are recruiting on behalf of our client, for a Financial Manager. Our client is a financial services company established in 1981, that focuses exclusively on providing financing to established SMEs. They are dedicated to fostering inclusive growth in South Africa by helping SMEs expand.

\n\tAs the Financial Manager, you will work closely with the executive team, gain broad exposure to the business and be accountable for the accounting function for the group and some key financial processes in servicing customers.The individual will report directly to the Commercial Director and will work closely with other members of the senior management team.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities;<\/p>\n
Manage the accounting function;<\/p>\n
\tDirect and lead the Finance Department team
\n\tEnsure IFRS compliance
\n\tResponsible for monthly reporting, Annual Financial Statements of several
\n\tcompanies and the audit engagement
\n\tExperience with, or possess a sound conceptual understanding of, the principles
\n\tinherent in a financing business
\n\tVAT & income tax returns & SARS queries
\n\tInsurance matters
\n\tBudgets<\/p>\n
Key Process management;<\/p>\n
\tEnsure effectiveness
\n\tMaintain efficiencies
\n\tSign off process compliance activities<\/p>\n
Manage projects;<\/p>\n
\tSculpt, Plan, Execute, and Debrief
\n\tCoordination
\n\tManage project resources<\/p>\n
Prepare reports;<\/p>\n
\tTimeous delivery
\n\tAlert Management to exceptions
\n\tCash flow management & forecasts
\n\tCompile reports and present to Exco
\n\tPrepare reports for Board meetings and funders<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 15 years\u2019 experience (preferably with exposure to mid-sized companies including reporting to external stakeholders)
\n\tLeadership experience in a financial role
\n\tWorking knowledge of IFRS
\n\tProject management
\n\tGeneral Microsoft office tools
\n\tExcel \u2013 Advanced
\n\tExposure to ERP systems & Xero\/Sage\/Quickbooks
\n\tFlexibility to adapt with business changes
\n\tAnalytical mind, organized, precise and meticulous
\n\tProblem solver
\n\tAbility to take initiative, learn quickly and strive for results
\n\tExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)
\n\tStrong team player and motivator
\n\tFull time on site – Randburg<\/p>\n
