Key Purpose<\/p>\n
\tTo design, develop, and maintain robust automation test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications using Java. The role ensures quality assurance is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle, contributing to continuous testing, CI\/CD integration, and Agile delivery practices.<\/p>\n
Areas of responsibility may include but are not limited to<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and execute automated tests for web, mobile, and API applications.
\n\tDesign and implement scalable automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and Rest Assured.
\n\tIdentifying test conditions and creating test designs, test cases, test procedure specifications, test data and Implement tests in the test environment.
\n\tIntegrate automated tests into CI\/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Bamboo.
\n\tParticipate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
\n\tAssist with manual testing whenever the need arises.
\n\tCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
\n\tIdentify, document, and manage defects using JIRA and ensure traceability.
\n\tStay current with emerging trends such as AI-assisted testing and self-healing automation.<\/p>\n
Skills and Knowledge<\/p>\n
\tProficiency in Java for automation scripting.
\n\tExpertise in Selenium WebDriver for web automation.
\n\tHands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation.
\n\tStrong skills in API testing using Rest Assured.
\n\tExperience with CI\/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
\n\tFamiliarity with test runners like TestNG or JUnit.
\n\tVersion control using Git.
\n\tDefect tracking using JIRA.
\n\tUnderstanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC within Agile environments.
\n\tKnowledge of QAOps practices including Shift-Left and Shift-Right testing.
\n\tFamiliarity with test design techniques, defect lifecycle, and traceability.
\n\tConcepts of performance and security testing.
\n\tTest Management using Jira Xray.
\n\tCloud-based testing platforms and distributed test execution.
\n\tDatabase concepts and SQL for test data validation.
\n\tAwareness of emerging trends such as AI-assisted testing and hyperautomation<\/p>\n

\tMinimum of 3-5 years\u2019 experience in automation testing with focus on \u00a0 JAVA, Selenium, Appium and Rest Assured
