{"id":17071,"date":"2025-08-21T12:02:06","date_gmt":"2025-08-21T12:02:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/trade-executive\/"},"modified":"2025-11-22T00:25:45","modified_gmt":"2025-11-22T00:25:45","slug":"trade-executive","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/?post_type=job_listing&p=17071","title":{"rendered":"Trade Executive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>JOB PURPOSE<\/p>\n<p>\tAs Trade Executive, you will be responsible to execute UFS customer engagement strategy offline &amp; online with Trade Partner customers to deliver business growth targets ie. turnover, volume, reach &amp; penetration.<br \/>\n\tUnilever is the place where you can bring your purpose to life with the work that you do \u2013 creating a better business and a better world. \u00a0If you are a self-motivated, outcome driven sales individual, with a strategic and agile mindset then this role is just for you.<\/p>\n<p>WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE (But not limited to):<\/p>\n<p>\tAccountable for delivering business target for the assigned territory\/area\/region and Customer P&amp;L ie., turnover, volume, reach &amp; penetration, eComm &amp; digital targets.<br \/>\n\tBuild &amp; Nurture relationships with trade, wholesalers (distributors) &amp; its teams including DSRs.<br \/>\n\tDevelop, maintain, and execute customer account plans\/joint business plans with trade partners including trade term agreement, sell out activities and DSRs &amp; Trade team engagement with clear KPIs (Sell-out \u2013 Volume, Reach, Penetration, eComm)<br \/>\n\tEnsure scorecards populated by BEX Data team are used in all planned customer reviews.<br \/>\n\tEnsure trading terms are signed off and that scorecards are submitted timeously<br \/>\n\tSubmit Proof of Agreement of promotions tied up in trade for timely creation of rebate accruals to RSM<br \/>\n\tDrive data sharing agreements with trade partners for SSD of offline\/online sales out as per agreed UFS data roadmap.<br \/>\n\tFocus on data driven opportunities in all sales out activities that can be effectively measured.<br \/>\n\tInput of all planned customer activity into a UFS customer activity grid<br \/>\n\tUse all data effectively, ie insights into actions into plans that enable increased turnover, volume, reach and penetration.<br \/>\n\tResponsible for accurate forecasting based on planned sales in\/out activity. Ensure activities and corresponding spend are given to RSM as part of S&amp;OP process.<br \/>\n\tConduct financial analysis for planned sales in\/out activity via ROI &#8211; OPSO and Promo Analysis and ensure that this is signed off by the relevant SOA approver. \u00a0<br \/>\n\tFocus on creation on brand awareness and portfolio opportunity at trade partner customer days and trade shows.<br \/>\n\tCollaborate with Demand Creation Chefs for Trade Partner\/DSR Culinary trainings needed.<br \/>\n\tFocus on digital selling by working with trade partners to generate demand creation towards either UFS.com or via traffic to own trade partners platforms<br \/>\n\tUse data driven recommendations for cross selling.<br \/>\n\tDrive engagement for trade partners as per defined contact strategy for the assigned territory ie., Performing F2F calls (and virtual when needed) via local CRM tool.<br \/>\n\tClose collaboration with trade\/RTM team to ensure implementation of promotions by ensuring adequate stock availability and customer related activity to drive sell-out.<br \/>\n\tNegotiating trade terms including secondary displays, primary share of shelf &amp; other in-store activity to aggressively drive sales out with trade partners.<br \/>\n\tMonitor stock FIFO implementation, aging and align actions with distributor Trade &amp; DSRs to minimize business waste.<br \/>\n\tHave a deep understanding of the competitor landscape and track pricing, in market activity and new launches<br \/>\n\tEnsure timely submission &amp; settlement of distributor claims (with appropriate supporting documents) from trade partners.<\/p>\n<p>Experiences &amp; Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>Minimum:<\/p>\n<p>\tRelevant Sales Qualification<br \/>\n\t2-3 years of working experience in similar function in FMCG<br \/>\n\tProven track record in sales, preferably in the Foodservice Industry<\/p>\n<p>Preferred:<\/p>\n<p>\tIndustry knowledge for trade customers (RTM Customers)<br \/>\n\tAccount management<\/p>\n<p>Skills:<\/p>\n<p>\tStrategic Selling skills<br \/>\n\tImpactful Customer Engagement<br \/>\n\tFull understanding of all Customers &amp; UFS solutions (research &amp; pre-call planning)<br \/>\n\tBusiness Insights to Activation Solution Selling<br \/>\n\tSound understanding of all Offline &amp; Online Touchpoints<br \/>\n\tFamiliarity of UFS CD Cycle which includes Planning of call Cycles<br \/>\n\tCustomer Business Planning<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( https:\/\/www.unilever.co.za ) or<\/p>\n<p>careers.unilever.com<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"http:\/\/careers.unilever.com","_company_name":"Unilever","_company_website":"https:\/\/www.unilever.co.za","_company_tagline":"On any given day, two billion people use Unilever products to look good, feel good and get more out of life.
