Key Job Outputs:<\/p>\n
\tThe Senior Internal Auditor\u2019s primary role is:
\n\tScheduling of audit engagements;
\n\tResponsible for entire audit engagement process, from engagement planning to close-out meetings and issuing of reports;
\n\tExecution of special reviews;
\n\tTo complete flowcharts, audit programs and working papers with sufficient detail;
\n\tEvaluating and documenting risks and controls;
\n\tReview the work of engagement team;
\n\tAct as Auditor-in-charge on engagements;
\n\tTo perform follow up audits on actions taken by Management;
\n\tAssist in drafting of reports of audit engagements and special reviews, where applicable including audit memorandums;
\n\tAssist in the annual planning and audit committee reporting process;
\n\tAssist with special projects wherever necessary;
\n\tCoaching and mentoring of junior staff;
\n\tLead investigations as directed by the Head of Internal audit;
\n\tIncrease use of analytics in audits;
\n\tProactive approach to using and updating IA intranet;
\n\tEnsure that personal deadlines are achieved for all deliverables; and
\n\tInvolvement in new tasks and initiatives, where appropriate.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\t3-year tertiary qualification (non-negotiable);
\n\tRelevant honours degree (preferred), or 4-year degree (non-negotiable);
\n\tCompleted relevant professional qualification (CA(SA)\/CIA\/CISA or equivalent \u2013 highly recommended) however willingness to study towards a relevant professional qualification is non-negotiable;\u00a0
\n\tRelevant audit experience (at least 3 years audit experience (experience within an internal audit environment is advantageous).<\/p>\n
