Working within a complex, matrixed global organization, the HRBP will, together with other team members, lead local and regional HR initiatives, manage projects with precision, and serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders.<br \/>\n\tSuccess in this role requires the ability to take charge, drive implementation, and foster strong relationships at all levels of the organization.<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Strategic HR Partnership<\/p>\n<p>\tPartner with business leaders to develop and execute HR initiatives that combine global HR strategies with local business priorities.<br \/>\n\tActively participate in key people-related decisions, anticipating challenges and addressing people issues proactively.<br \/>\n\tProvide HR knowledge and strategic advice to support the execution of business projects and organizational initiatives.<br \/>\n\tProvide hands-on support to managers on key people processes, including performance management, team development, change management and resource planning.<br \/>\n\tHandle complex HR data reporting, leveraging advanced Excel skills and an analytical mindset to deliver actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>HR Efficiency, Transformation, and Policy Alignment<\/p>\n<p>\tLead and implement projects that drive HR efficiency, transformation, and process standardization across the businesses in Africa.<br \/>\n\tEnsure HR services, policies, and systems are practical, relevant, and aligned with business needs and compliance requirements in African countries.<br \/>\n\tWork collaboratively with HR colleagues to develop and refine policies and introduce innovative ways of working.<br \/>\n\tCollaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and Shared Service Centers on projects.<\/p>\n<p>Regional Wellbeing Plan<\/p>\n<p>\tDesign, implement, and manage a comprehensive regional Wellbeing Plan for Africa, addressing physical, emotional, financial and workplace wellbeing needs.<br \/>\n\tFacilitate global wellbeing programs and initiatives tailored to local and regional cultural contexts, ensuring employee participation and engagement.<br \/>\n\tLeverage insights from employee feedback, surveys, and HR metrics to continuously refine and enhance wellbeing initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Performance and Capability Development<\/p>\n<p>\tProvide strategic coaching and advice to managers on organizational effectiveness, team dynamics, and leadership development.<br \/>\n\tAdvise, challenge, and coach Business Managers on people-related processes, including performance management, team and personal development, career path planning, resource planning, and restructuring needs.<br \/>\n\tSupport managers in navigating organizational change, ensuring employee alignment and minimal disruption.<br \/>\n\tCollaborate with managers to navigate change effectively, balancing empathy with a focus on results.<\/p>\n<p>Compliance and Best Practices<\/p>\n<p>\tAct as a role model for the HR function, driving best practices and ensuring alignment across HR processes and policies, ethics and compliance.<br \/>\n\tProvide hands-on support in driving the BBBEE agenda, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.<br \/>\n\tActively contribute to new initiatives, sharing lessons learned from previous HR projects and interventions.<br \/>\n\tDemonstrate strong knowledge of local labor laws, CCMA processes, and employee relations (ER) matters, ensuring compliance and effective resolution of workplace issues.<\/p>\n<p>HR Metrics and Analytics:<\/p>\n<p>\tUse HR KPIs and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and develop clear, actionable plans to address them.<br \/>\n\tProvide regular reports and analyses to senior management, highlighting trends and recommendations.<\/p>\n<p>Employee Engagement and Communication<\/p>\n<p>\tLead employee engagement initiatives to align staff interests with business objectives, leveraging insights from employee surveys to enhance engagement strategies.<br \/>\n\tEnsure clear and effective HR communication, managing local employee engagement campaigns and aligning them with global HR messaging.<\/p>\n<p>Leadership and Collaboration<\/p>\n<p>\tBuild and sustain strong relationships with business leaders, employees, and HR colleagues, ensuring alignment across teams and functions.<br \/>\n\tTake the lead on HR initiatives and projects while effectively collaborating with others in authority and across departments.<br \/>\n\tBe a role model for positivity, responsiveness, and professionalism, fostering a collaborative and solutions-oriented work environment.<br \/>\n\tContribute positively to healthy team culture by acting professionally and ethically, proactively avoiding unhealthy team dynamics.<\/p>\n<p>Project Management and Execution<\/p>\n<p>\tLead HR projects with a focus on efficiency, transformation, and measurable results.<br \/>\n\tManage multiple priorities and deliverables effectively, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.<br \/>\n\tUse HR metrics and insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications and Skills<\/p>\n<p>Education:<\/p>\n<p>\tBachelor&#8217;s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master&#8217;s degree is preferred.<br \/>\n\tProfessional HR accreditation (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is a plus.<\/p>\n<p>Experience:<\/p>\n<p>\t5+ years of experience in HR, with a blend of generalist and specialist roles.<br \/>\n\tProven expertise in aligning HR strategies with business objectives.<br \/>\n\tStrong knowledge of employment legislation (e.g., EE, BBBEE) and best practices.<br \/>\n\tProven expertise in managing business change, process improvement, and HR transformation projects.<br \/>\n\tHigh proficiency in Excel and Power Point, good visual data representation skills.<\/p>\n<p>Key Competencies:<\/p>\n<p>\tStrategic thinking and problem-solving skills.<br \/>\n\tDeep understanding of HR processes, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement strategies.<br \/>\n\tAdvanced coaching and counseling capabilities and stakeholder management abilities.<br \/>\n\tProficiency in HR data analytics, reporting, and PowerPoint presentations.<br \/>\n\tIn-depth knowledge of local employment legislation (EE, BBBEE) and HR best practices.<br \/>\n\tExceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels.
