\tSuitable candidates are hereby invited to apply to serve as Chairperson of the Financial Misconduct Board of Thembisile Hani Local Municipality in terms of Chapter 2 of Municipal Regulation on Financial Misconduct procedures and Criminal proceedings on Local Government Municipal Finance Management Act No.56, Section 175 of 2003.
\n\tTerm of Office: Three-year period, renewable at the discretion of the Council.<\/p>\n
REMUNERATION OR INCENTIVES TO MEMBERS OF THE DISCIPLINARY BOARD<\/p>\n
\tAny remuneration or fees that are due to members shall be in accordance with the standards set by the National Treasury.<\/p>\n
Job Purpose:<\/p>\n
\tTo ensure accountability and good governance within the municipality, particularly in handling allegations of financial impropriety.<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tA relevant Diploma\/Degree in Law, Financial Management, Accounting, Internal Auditing, Risk management and \/or Forensic Auditing.
\n\tPrevious experience on a similar position will serve as an added advantage.
\n\tMust possess strong and dynamic leadership skills; must have sound knowledge of legislation applicable to local government; analytical reasoning ability; good interpersonal and communication skills.
\n\tCandidates will be subjected to security vetting.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tTo assist the council with investigations on allegations of financial misconduct and provide a report with clear recommendations on further steps to be taken regarding disciplinary proceedings, or any other related financial misconduct.\u00a0<\/p>\n
