Description<\/p>\n
\tIdentifies the need for human resources in project(s) and manages the allocated resources.
\n\tPlans and co-ordinates own and technical project work activities.
\n\tIndependently conducts specialist research\/technical support, diagnostics, and other services within projects.
\n\tCollects, captures, processes and interprets technical data and makes internal project recommendations.
\n\tCompiles detailed technical reports and submits for approval.
\n\tRecommends new technologies to be optimized.
\n\tRenders diagnostic, technical and other services at a national level.
\n\tDevelops technical capacity at an appropriate level.
\n\tIdentifies and participates in own learning opportunities.
\n\tParticipates in the project and supervises as delegated.
\n\tAssists with compiling & managing project budget.
\n\tPresents results to stakeholders.
\n\tManages project facilities, material and equipment.
\n\tEnsures optimal utilization of resources.
\n\tCompliance with human resource policies and procedures.
\n\tCompliance with occupational health and safety policies and procedures.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMSc or MTech in Agronomy, Horticulture, Crop Science, Agricultural Science, or related field.
\n\t2 years relevant experience in scientific research focused on agronomic research.
\n\tAgricultural Research knowledge and skills, including ability to set-up and manage research trials.
\n\tExtensive knowledge of hemp\/cannabis production systems.
\n\tGood verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
\n\tProficiency in MS Office suite.
\n\tEvidence of popular article publications and\/or reviewed publications will be an added advantage.
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license and willingness to travel.<\/p>\n
