Job Purpose:<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS
\nMinimum education (essential):<\/p>\n
\tQualified CA(SA)<\/p>\n
Minimum applicable experience (years):<\/p>\n
\t3 \u2013 7 Years Post Article experience<\/p>\n
Required nature of experience:<\/p>\n
\tCommercial experience
\n\tFull bookkeeping experience up to trial balance (Including debtors management, creditors management, general ledger)
\n\tTax compliance
\n\tStatutory compliance
\n\tFinancial Reporting
\n\tMonth end procedure management
\n\tTeam management
\n\tBeneficial if articles were completed at an accounting firm<\/p>\n

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS, WEIGHTS AND OBJECTIVES
\nFinancial Reporting (10%)<\/p>\n
\tAnalyse financial information and summarize financial status.
\n\tParticipate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process.
\n\tSuggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
\n\tPerform variance analysis and prepare account reconciliations.<\/p>\n
Month End Procedure Management (50%)<\/p>\n
\tManage and assist the team to complete the month-end procedure within deadline.
\n\tPrepare month-end close procedures including debtors, creditors, cash, general ledger and trial balance reconciliations.
\n\tIdentify errors and recommend changes to processing accounting transactions.
\n\tProcess journal entries to ensure accuracy.
\n\tAssist in financial standards setting and forecast process.<\/p>\n
Team Monitoring (10%)<\/p>\n
\tAssist with managing accounting assistants, bookkeeper and accountant.
\n\tProvide input into the department’s goal setting process.
\n\tPlan, assign and review staff\u2019s work.
\n\tProvide training and mentoring to employees in the finance department.<\/p>\n
General Financial Administration (20%)<\/p>\n
\tReview and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
\n\tSupport year-end close process.
\n\tDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
\n\tLiaise with the Financial Manager to improve financial procedures.
\n\tAssist with the budgeting process.
\n\tCoordinate accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments.
\n\tAssist with managing all company facilities.<\/p>\n
Compliance (5%)<\/p>\n
\tAssist with tax audits and tax returns.
\n\tAssist in financial standards setting for compliance and forecast process.
\n\tAssist with directing internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
\n\tAssist with keeping company documents up to date and maintain a record of such.<\/p>\n
QMS (5%)<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that QMS guidelines are adhered to.
\n\tEnsure that all supporting documents are kept to date.
\n\tEnsure that all processes are kept relevant.<\/p>\n
