Responsibilities will include but not limited to:<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for drilling and blasting activities at the mine
\n\tEnsures the effective management of employees to achieve all Safety, Health, Environmental, Planning and Production targets
\n\tLegal responsibility for all activities under his\/her control with regards to safety
\n\tCommunicates all relevant legal and operational policies, procedures, standards and guidelines and ensures that these are implemented and followed
\n\tEnsure that operational planning and production targets are achieved
\n\tDevelops and maintains constructive working relationships with peers, subordinates and contractors
\n\tMeeting production targets with strict adherence to maintenance and production schedules<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 Mathematics or Math Literacy, English, NQF Level 4 Further Education and Training Certificate in Mining Operations with DMRE Opencast Blasting certificate\u00a0or\u00a0Mining Engineering (BSc Eng, B Tech or Advanced Diploma, B Eng., National Diploma in Coal Mining \/ Engineering)
\n\tMinimum of 4 years appointed as a mining foreman in a production environment
\n\tSound knowledge of Safety Systems, Regulations and Standards with high regard for safety and good safety record
\n\tGood managerial, supervisory, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
\n\tIn-depth knowledge of mining methods, mining, and environmental legislation
\n\tProficiency in MS Office Suite & SAP
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license
\n\tIn possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness<\/p>\n
Advantageous:<\/p>\n
\tExperience in Drill and Blast activities
\n\tActing experience as a Mine Overseer
\n\tMOC\/Mining Intern Programme completed
\n\tCoaching and mentoring training<\/p>\n
