\tWe are recruiting on behalf of our client in the Fintech space. \u00a0The Commercial & FinOps Manager leads the company\u2019s commercial strategy and financial operations. \u00a0This role combines pricing, modelling, revenue enablement, cash flow management, and systems optimization to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
\n\tYou will ensure financial and commercial decisions align with growth goals while maintaining strong governance and modernizing finance processes.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities
\nCommercial Pricing & Modeling<\/p>\n
\tReview, assess, and approve pricing using standardized models.
\n\tDevelop bespoke models for RFPs, new products, or business cases.
\n\tMaintain robust pricing templates and ensure models support sound decision-making.
\n\tPresent pricing proposals and commercial terms to stakeholders.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Advisory & Business Planning<\/p>\n
\tValidate commercial intent behind pricing\/modelling requests.
\n\tProvide commercial guidance to leadership and support business case development.
\n\tPartner with internal teams to deliver sustainable pricing and product growth strategies.<\/p>\n
Data & Template Management<\/p>\n
\tMaintain and evolve pricing templates aligned to financial goals.
\n\tIdentify and fix gaps in data input processes; oversee new modelling tool development.<\/p>\n
Reporting & Analytics<\/p>\n
\tMaintain dashboards and commercial performance reports.
\n\tAnalyze trends, conversion rates, and profitability to identify opportunities.<\/p>\n
Finance Leadership & Operations<\/p>\n
\tLead the operational finance team across tax, audit, AFS, and reporting.
\n\tDrive finance transformation, process optimization, and system improvements.
\n\tOversee budgeting, audit processes, Capex planning, and financial governance.
\n\tReview contracts, KPIs, and incentive models in collaboration with HR.<\/p>\n
Systems & Process Management<\/p>\n
\tEnsure ERP and financial systems are optimized.
\n\tCollaborate with BI for accurate, timely data.
\n\tDrive automation, improve workflows, and resolve operational bottlenecks.<\/p>\n
Cash Flow & Liquidity<\/p>\n
\tLead daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow forecasting and reporting.
\n\tMonitor performance vs. forecast, address gaps, and support funding needs.<\/p>\n
Leadership & Team Performance<\/p>\n
\tProvide daily leadership to the FinOps and commercial teams.
\n\tSet performance expectations, mentor staff, and drive a high-performance culture.
\n\tRestructure team responsibilities to meet business needs efficiently.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s Degree in Finance
\n\tCA(SA)
\n\t8-10 years of progressive experience in commercial finance, pricing strategy, and operational finance.
\n\tStrong experience in cloud\/ERP financial systems and FinOps practices.
\n\tTrack record of managing teams through transformation, optimization, and growth cycles.
\n\tExperience in B2B, fintech, digital services, or technology-led environments is advantageous.<\/p>\n
