\tTWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Broker Manager (Short-Term Insurance) within the Financial Services division at Piet Retief, Mpumalanga.<\/p>\n
Job Summary<\/p>\n
\tThis role involves managing and growing the short-term insurance portfolio by leading a team of brokers, driving business development, maintaining strong client and insurer relationships and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
\n\tThe Broker Manager plays a key role in achieving financial targets, delivering client satisfaction and supporting the overall success of the short-term insurance division.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities and Duties<\/p>\n
\tLead, manage and mentor a team of short-term insurance brokers
\n\tConduct performance reviews, provide feedback and support professional growth
\n\tSet performance targets, monitor progress and ensure compliance with industry standards
\n\tOversee commission structures and incentives to drive performance
\n\tIdentify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the portfolio
\n\tDevelop and implement sales strategies with brokers for client acquisition and retention
\n\tCollaborate with marketing and internal teams to enhance market visibility
\n\tBuild and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
\n\tAct as point of escalation for complex client queries and ensure timely resolution
\n\tStay updated on short-term insurance products, pricing, regulations and market trends
\n\tProvide product training and sales support to brokers
\n\tLiaise with insurers to secure competitive offerings and favourable terms
\n\tMonitor portfolio performance, track financial metrics and report to senior management
\n\tRepresent TWK Agri at industry events and networking opportunities
\n\tOversee risk assessment and mitigation processes within the portfolio<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Skills<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in business, marketing, risk management or insurance (advantageous)
\n\tRE5, RE1, FAIS credits
\n\tNQF 4\/5 in Insurance
\n\tMinimum 5 years\u2019 experience in the short-term insurance industry
\n\tAt least 3 years\u2019 managerial experience in broker management
\n\tStrong leadership, business development and client relationship skills
\n\tComprehensive knowledge of short-term insurance products and regulations
\n\tProficiency in MS Office Suite
\n\tBilingual (Afrikaans & English)
\n\tExcellent leadership and mentoring ability
\n\tStrong business development and negotiation skills
\n\tAnalytical, resilient and adaptable with high attention to detail
\n\tTeam player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
\n\tValid driver\u2019s licence (Code 08)
\n\tWilling to travel<\/p>\n
