\tThe responsibility of the Regional Sales Manager will be to oversee the overall growth and profitability in the Division \u00a0<\/p>\n
Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tRelevant tertiary qualification
\n\tRelevant Insurance qualifications, minimum 120 NQF credits and completed RE level 4
\n\tPost graduate degree or diploma in Marketing, management, Trade, insurance and or finance are an advantage
\n\tAt least 3 years Insurance experience including sales and Underwriting
\n\tAt least 1 years claims experience
\n\tProven successful track record in showing good growth and profitability in a similar position
\n\tBeing able to source new brokers and identify new opportunities
\n\tStrong negotiating and persuasive skills
\n\tAbility to adapt to change and to work under pressure, and meet deadlines
\n\tAnalysing business, profitability and broker portfolios
\n\tAbility to manage internal and external conflict and to be able to find solutions to problems and to implement
\n\tNetworking on all levels internally and externally
\n\tProven ability to motivate staff
\n\tBilingual preferable
\n\tBeing able to create presentations and to different audiences
\n\tMust be Information technology driven and comfortable with different operating packages including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
\n\tMust be completely competent and efficient on Tial and possess the ability to train brokers and staff<\/p>\n
Duties & Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tProvide underwriters with an underwriting guidance
\n\tProvide the underwriters with rating guidance
\n\tConduct product training in the regions
\n\tProvide technical assistance and support to the regions and to brokers
\n\tProvide technical information on new products and developments to the marketing department for broker distribution
\n\tUndertake technical audits in both underwriting (and claims) and ensuring adherence to underwriting limits as per the authorised mandates
\n\tProvide product summaries for publishing on the web-site or in the brochure
\n\tMaintain the product on Tial
\n\tDraft, maintain and enhance the policy wording
\n\tAssist regions with major renewals
\n\tIdentify and assisting regions in correcting unprofitable portfolios
\n\tAssist claims department on complex claims
\n\tAssist RI department in accessing appropriate reinsurance
\n\tCommunicate market developments to regions
\n\tAssist with Product development
\n\tAssess new product approval requests
\n\tCheck quotes on Tial
\n\tBuild key relationships with brokers in the market place
\n\tMonitor growth and profitability of book of business<\/p>\n
Competencies\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tMust have good working knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry
\n\tMust have good knowledge of Insurance legislation and compliance
\n\tComprehensive knowledge of the Divisions products
\n\tMust have a strong knowledge and experience in claims handling process and procedures,
\n\tDivision underwriting mandates, rates and procedures
\n\tMust have \/ gain a good understanding of financials, treaties and Risk management procedures and exposure<\/p>\n
