Job description for an Analyst<\/p>\n
\tThe Analyst will be joining an exciting new Financial Services Technology division within BDO and should be able to identify key IT risks related to financial reporting and thereafter key controls in order to develop innovative audit solutions. These solutions cater to the specific IT risks facing businesses within the Financial Services, in addition to new IT risks, which are emerging as a result of exponential technologies such as machine learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics.
\n\tInformation Technology General Controls Testing.
\n\tApplication Controls Testing.
\n\tAnalyse information systems data to assess the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of transaction processing.
\n\tAbility to develop an adequate understanding of client\u2019s businesses and identifying Risks and Controls.
\n\tMaintaining a relationship with the financial audit team and keeping them up to date on the progress of work.
\n\tMentoring and coaching first and second years.
\n\tProviding status updates to the manager on the project.
\n\tPerforming Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATS), where necessary and as part of IT audits.
\n\tBe knowledgeable on using data analytics tool such as IDEA.
\n\tHaving reasonable understanding of IT risk management, IT governance concepts, best practice frameworks.
\n\tParticipate in proposal development as and when required.
\n\tParticipate in training efforts.
\n\tCOBIT, ITIL, ISO27001-2 and other models is advantageous. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Requirements
\nQualifications: \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tBcom Internal Audit, Bcom Information Systems\/Informatics
\n\tBsc Computer Science
\n\tBA Information Management
\n\tThe Ideal candidate should be studying toward or wanting to study toward a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) qualification \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\t1-3 years working experience in Internal Audit, IT Audit, IT Advisory or Forensics.
\n\tThe candidate should have experience working at clients in the Financial Services Industry. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tKnowledge of the Financial Services Industry.
