\n\tDrivmg development planning across the city thereby ensuring that there is an appropriate and efficient landuse system\u00a0
\n\tFacilitate special economic inibabves\u00a0
\n\tEconomic development policy and planning\u00a0
\n\tTechnical championship of agriculture and rural development Including agribusiness\u00a0
\n\tTechnical championship of sector development and support: tourism, retail, transportation, trade and other related sectors
\n\tOverseeing that the Integrated Rural Subsistence and Small-Scale Agriculture plan Is developed In accordance with standards\u00a0
\n\tMaintenance of appropriate building development standards of safety, cleanliness. and orderioness across the city\u00a0
\n\tOversee that capacity building of SMME’s 1s done and ensure their readiness for procurement opportunities\u00a0
\n\tInformal trading coordination\u00a0
\n\tManagement of Municipal owned land\u00a0
\n\tEffective and efficient stakeholder relations management and human capltal management\u00a0
\n\tReporton performance of the Oepartment\u00a0
\n\tEnsure adherence to corporate governance within\u00a0the Department
\n\tFinancial\u00a0management

Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s degree in Town and Regional Planning\/Bachelor’s degree in City and Regional Planning\/Bachelor of Science Oegree in Architecture or Building Science\u00a0
\n\tA postgraduate qualification in Local Economic Development coupled with 5 years hands on experience\u00a0
\n\tA minimum of 7 years senior management experience in development planning and economic development services\u00a0
\n\tProven experience of spabal and economic planning, lnte,govemmental planning and donor funding experience\u00a0
\n\tGood knowledge and Interpretation of policy and legislation\u00a0
\n\tGood knowledge of performance management system\u00a0
\n\tGood governance and good knowledge of suppty chain management regulations and the Preferential Procurement Policy Frameworl< Act, 2000 (Act No. 5 of 2000).
\n\tMaster's degree in\u00a0 Town and Reg10nal Planning\/Master's degree In Crty and Regional Planning\u00a0
\n\tCompliance with the MFMA
\n\tMinimum Competency Levels in uniit standards as per Government Notice\u00a0No 29967 of June 2007 and Government Notice No 21, Gazette 37245 of 17 January 2014\u00a0<\/p>\n
