About this Position<\/p>\n
\tHenkel\u2019s CHAINGERS \u2013 Young Professionals Program in South Africa is designed for early-career engineers with 3\u20135 years of experience who are ready to take the next step in their professional journey. This 18 month full-time rotational program provides immersive exposure to Henkel’s manufacturing operations, supply chain systems, and leadership culture at our Alrode production site.\u00a0<\/p>\n
What you\u00b4ll do<\/p>\n
\tRotate across key departments such as Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering
\n\tGain hands-on experience on the shopfloor by supporting day-to-day manufacturing activities
\n\tAnalyze and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability
\n\tCollaborate cross-functionally with teams from different functions to understand the full value chain
\n\tContribute to a cross-functional strategic project with measurable business impact
\n\tEngage with site leadership through regular coaching, mentoring, and feedback sessions
\n\tSupport continuous improvement initiatives using lean and digital tools
\n\tDemonstrate ownership by taking the lead on smaller improvement initiatives or tasks
\n\tPrepare yourself for a future leadership role in Henkel\u2019s operations or supply chain function<\/p>\n
What makes you a good fit<\/p>\n
\tEducational Background: BSc degree in chemical engineering\u00a0
\n\tWork Experience: 3 to 5 years of full-time work experience in a relevant field such as production, operations, manufacturing, process engineering, or supply chain
\n\tTechnical Skills: Strong foundation in engineering principles and plant operations
\n\tProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
\n\tExposure to manufacturing systems, process improvement, or lean methodologies
\n\tFluent in English\u00a0
\n\tExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
\n\tStrong problem-solving and analytical mindset
\n\tDemonstrated initiative and sense of ownership
\n\tAdaptability and resilience in dynamic environments
\n\tPassion for learning and continuous development
\n\tComfortable working on-site in a production setting
\n\tInterest in building a leadership career in operations or supply chain<\/p>\n
