\tThis is a 5 – month contract.\u00a0
\n\tYou’ll be part of a dynamic team, transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business strategy. You’ll use your skills to develop, implement, and maintain the algorithms that power innovation across the organization.
\n\tModel and Analyse: You’ll develop statistical models and algorithms and conduct exploratory data analysis to create value from diverse datasets.
\n\tExtract and Apply: You’ll apply advanced analytical techniques like machine learning and artificial intelligence to derive business value and conduct data discovery for models.
\n\tCode and Query: Proficiency in a programming toolset, such as Python or R, is essential for data manipulation and analysis. You’ll also need to be adept at querying and pre-processing (wrangling) data.
\n\tCollaborate and Grow: You’ll work closely with senior data scientists and engineers to implement scalable solutions. We encourage continuous learning, providing a supportive environment for you to grow your knowledge of the latest tools and techniques.
\n\tMaintain and Improve: You’ll monitor and maintain models in production and support continuous improvement by researching best practices and collaborating with industry leaders.<\/p>\n
What you’ll bring<\/p>\n
\tYou are a curious, detail-oriented individual with a strong foundation in data science and a drive for continuous learning.
\n\tEducation: A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a STEM field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematical Statistics, Actuarial Science).
\n\tExperience: 1-3 years in a statistical and\/or data science role with a solid understanding of machine learning and statistics.
\n\tTechnical Skills: You have experience with R, Python, or Matlab and are comfortable working with large datasets. C, C++, Java
\n\tExperience with distributed computing tools like Spark is a plus. Knowledge of data mining, Supervised Learning, and Unsupervised Learning is required.
\n\tCertifications: While not essential, a Cloud (Azure, AWS) or Data Science certification is preferred.
\n\tSoft Skills: You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and thrive in an agile, start-up-like environment.<\/p>\n
