Introduction<\/p>\n
\tTRACKER requires the services of an API Test Automation Analyst in the Development and Engineering division. We require a self-starter with an outgoing personality and the ability to communicate at all levels. The successful candidate will be required to facilitate test automation within the testing team.<\/p>\n
Job description<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for designing, developing, and executing quality assurance and control processes, test strategies, test plans and test cases that verify software conformance to defined acceptance criteria.
\n\tIn addition to functional and regression testing, the Test Analyst is responsible for quality assurance of non-functional areas such as data integrity and fault finding on systems.
\n\tResponsibilities include but not limited to, linking test cases to business\/systems requirements to ensure traceability, execute test cases, log defects and the creation of test ware.<\/p>\n
DUTIES:<\/p>\n
Test Strategy\/approach\/plan:<\/p>\n
\tDevelop test plan, approach and scope for automation efforts.
\n\tProvide test estimate input for projects.
\n\tProvides input to continuously improve test methodology.
\n\tEstablishes and implements an approach for managing test data.<\/p>\n
Requirements Management:<\/p>\n
\tReviews functional requirements.
\n\tAnalyze requirements for completeness, correctness and clarity, to drive the testing effort.
\n\tHas a clear grasp of capabilities that business wants to establish, to shape scenarios.<\/p>\n
Developing Test Scenarios:<\/p>\n
\tDefine automation targets and objectives with Team Lead.
\n\tAnalyses and develops the proper test coverage with the stakeholders.
\n\tTraces requirements to test cases to verify test coverage.<\/p>\n
Test Execution:<\/p>\n
\tManage own test preparation and execution activities.
\n\tIdentify and create necessary test data.
\n\tExecutes scenario-based test cases.
\n\tAnalyze metrics for quality assessment.<\/p>\n
Reporting:<\/p>\n
\tTraces coverage and clearance.
\n\tProvides input to standard test metrics and reporting.
\n\tWorks within the project team and test team to address issues and report status.<\/p>\n
Defect Management:<\/p>\n
\tDebug the development and execution of test scripts against test targets.
\n\tAnalyze test failures.
\n\tPriorities defects logged with development team.<\/p>\n
Minimum requirements<\/p>\n
\tISTQB \u2013 Foundation testing certification (Non – Negotiable)
\n\tISTQB Advanced Test Analyst is preferable.
\n\tRelevant IT degree or diploma required.
\n\tHas training in object-orientated Programming (OOP).
\n\tHas training on ReadyAPI, SOAPUI and Visual Studio.
\n\tOf the above testing experience should include, writing custom test apps.
\n\tExperience in analyzing complex and technical design diagrams and specification.
\n\tExperience in using SQL for Data Driven Testing.
\n\tExperience in working with Git repositories and branching strategies.
\n\tExperience in Automated test case development, estimation, and maintenance
\n\tExtensive experience developing test cases and test scenarios from requirements.
\n\tDemonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
\n\tPossess a good understanding of Quality Control and Quality Assurance concepts across the SDLC.
\n\tUnderstands test metrics and how they are used for decision support.
\n\tHigh attention to detail with a focus on quality.
\n\tWill be part of a dynamic Back-Office team of self-motivated individuals.
\n\tDemonstrates cross-functional expertise and be highly adaptive and flexible with the ability to thrive in a highly complex and ever-changing environment.
\n\tAbility to lead and work independently, or function in a team as needed.
\n\tAbility to effectively communicate ideas across to team members.
\n\tWilling to work extended hours.<\/p>\n
