Role Overview<\/p>\n
\tThe Senior Coordinator for Districts is accountable for coordinating and supervising the execution of large-scale education programs centred around district-level management and leadership. This role necessitates thorough planning, effective coordination, and collaboration with a diverse array of stakeholders to guarantee the seamless implementation of educational initiatives across the nation’s education districts. The coordinator will facilitate communication among various teams, maintain a close watch on program progress, and proactively address challenges to ensure the successful achievement of program goals.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities\/Key Performance Areas<\/p>\n
Programme Delivery:<\/p>\n
\tCollaborate with the Senior Manager for Integrated District Improvement Programme (IDIP) to ensure the seamless integration of district initiatives, both horizontally and vertically.
\n\tSupport districts in preparing for successful implementation and achieving the necessary requirements for success.
\n\tAssist districts in policy analysis to inform educational decision-making.
\n\tOversee the entire program development and delivery process, from curriculum design to review and approval by stakeholders, including the DBE.
\n\tCoordinate the implementation of large-scale programs in alignment with the NECT\u2019s strategic direction.
\n\tCoordinate the development and delivery of district leadership programs aimed at enhancing district functionality.
\n\tOffer valuable feedback and insights on educational initiatives.
\n\tOversee the collection of data, consolidate metrics, monitor progress, and provide feedback on educational reading initiatives.
\n\tManage the coordination of monitoring, evaluation, and reporting for educational programs.
\n\tInterpret research findings and policy analysis within the educational context.
\n\tFacilitate the coordination of strategic program reviews and partnerships in alignment with established processes and standards.<\/p>\n
People Delivery:<\/p>\n
\tAssume personal accountability for service delivery.
\n\tInteract with colleagues, program beneficiaries, and stakeholders in accordance with NECT human capital practices and policies to foster an enabling environment.
\n\tCollaborate efficiently with others to attain individual objectives.
\n\tImplement people and culture strategies based on NECT’s human capital practices and policies to cultivate an environment that fosters high-performing teams.
\n\tFoster and establish effective internal relationships with the DBE, partners, and other stakeholders to bolster initiative delivery.
\n\tSupervise the activities of District Change Agents working across education districts.
\n\tCoordinate and offer feedback on existing and potential partnerships to support NECT’s activities.<\/p>\n
Finance and Governance:<\/p>\n
\tAdheres to Finance and Risk management governance protocols.
\n\tDemonstrates an understanding of and effectively interprets and applies division-specific compliance requirements.<\/p>\n
Qualifications required<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Education\/Development Studies\/Social Science, or equivalent. Postgraduate degree an advantage.<\/p>\n
Experience required<\/p>\n
\tA minimum of 3 – 5 years’ work experience in the education sector, with a focus on districts or education leadership.
\n\tDemonstrated experience in coordinating education programs.
\n\tEssential background in Project Management.
\n\tProven track record of successfully managing and coordinating large-scale education programs.
\n\tProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as other relevant software applications.
\n\tAdvanced presentation skills.
\n\tCapability to effectively engage with key decision-makers and policymakers.<\/p>\n
