Required outputs: Functional<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that OT systems and processes adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.
\n\tStay updated on standards such as ISA-95 (for manufacturing operations management), ISO 62443 (for industrial automation and control systems security), and other relevant guidelines.
\n\tEnsure compliance with regulations like OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
\n\tPrepare for and support regulatory audits. Maintain documentation and evidence of compliance activities.
\n\tImplement and enforce internal policies related to OT system use, data integrity, and security.
\n\tEnsure that software applications used in OT environments function correctly and securely.
\n\tOversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of OT applications. Ensure they meet performance and security requirements.
\n\tImplement role-based access controls to ensure only authorized personnel can interact with specific applications.
\n\tRegularly test and validate applications to ensure they perform as expected and do not introduce vulnerabilities.
\n\tManage updates and patches to OT applications, ensuring they do not disrupt operations.
\n\tImplement and manage cybersecurity measures to protect OT systems from threats.
\n\tConduct regular security assessments and apply necessary patches and updates.
\n\tEnsure compliance with industry regulations and internal security policies.
\n\tSpecifically focus on securing operational technology systems from cyber threats and ensuring operational integrity.
\n\tImplement proactive threat detection and streamline security operations.
\n\tFocus on full network visibility, implement network segmentation, monitor and control network access.
\n\tDesign and implement secure network architectures for OT systems, including segmentation and monitoring.
\n\tApply security best practices to harden OT systems against unauthorized access and attacks.
\n\tRegularly scan for and address vulnerabilities in OT systems.
\n\tCompliance with OT Security Frameworks.
\n\tOptimize and control manufacturing processes to ensure efficient and effective operations.
\n\tDesign and implement control systems that manage manufacturing processes accurately and reliably.
\n\tContinuously monitor process performance and make adjustments to improve efficiency and quality.
\n\tDevelop and refine control strategies, including feedback and feedforward controls, to manage process variables effectively.
\n\tUtilize data from process control systems to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
\n\tManage and optimize the technology systems used to monitor and control physical processes in manufacturing.
\n\tEnsure seamless integration of OT systems with IT infrastructure and other enterprise systems.
\n\tOversee the lifecycle of OT systems, from procurement and installation to maintenance and decommissioning.
\n\tEvaluate and implement new technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
\n\tEnsure high availability and reliability of OT systems to minimize downtime and disruptions.
\n\tIdentify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with OT systems and processes.
\n\tConduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities in OT systems and processes.
\n\tDevelop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks, including preventive and corrective actions.
\n\tAnalyse incidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
\n\tContinuously monitor and review risk factors to ensure that risk management strategies remain effective.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
\n\tRelevant certifications (e.g., ISA certifications, cybersecurity certifications) are preferred.
\n\tProfessional Engineer Certification, Functional Safety Design Certification-(Advantageous)
\n\tMinimum of 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing, logistics & customer environment.
\n\tAdvantageous: Experience with chemicals and explosives manufacturing
\n\tIn depth experience of managing multi-dimensional programmes, deadlines, and large budgets.<\/p>\n
