Afrimat Industries is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician with 3-5 years\u2019 experience in process plant production. In this role the successful candidate will play a key role in production optimisation and instrument control.<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualifications \/ Experience \/ Competencies<\/p>\n
\tNational N Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Instrumentation).
\n\t3-5 years\u2019 experience in a process plant production. Practical experience of cement manufacturing (plant and process) will be an added advantage.
\n\tSound electrical knowledge.
\n\tSkilled in problem solving and fault finding in a mining\/process environment.
\n\tFirm understanding of PLC fundamentals.
\n\tAble to work alone and as part of a team.<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):<\/p>\n
\tMaintain existing instrumentation throughout the plant.
\n\tPlan and execute new instrument installations.
\n\tInvestigate faulty equipment and resolve the fault.
\n\tMust be willing to work overtime to resolve breakdowns
\n\tPrioritize and complete assigned tasks based on urgency and plant availability.
\n\tInitiate, execute, and close Work Orders promptly, including providing necessary feedback and completing associated reports.
\n\tSubmit daily progress updates and reports to the Supervisor, highlighting completed work, schedule variances, delays, and proposed corrective actions.
\n\tCollaborate with other trades to get work completed.<\/p>\n
